How to add new Facebook page administrator
Before going into the details of this guide and explaining how to add Facebook page administrator , I want to remind you that the administrator is the highest role that a page manager user can hold and gives full control of the page.
The administrator , in fact, in addition to publishing content and advertisements, can manage every aspect of the page, including comments and messages and is even able to delete the page , change its name , as well as appoint other administrators and manage the roles of the page : for this reason it is important to assign this task only to a person of extreme trust.
Alternatively, among the other roles of the page there is that of Publisher (can publish and manage the publication of content, as well as manage comments and messages) or Moderator , in case you need a person in charge of managing comments and messages. which, however, cannot publish any type of content.
Finally, I remind you that there are no limitations on the number of people you can add as managers of a Facebook page and the added person does not necessarily have to be among your friends. Having clarified this, let’s see in detail how to add a new administrator to a Facebook page , acting as a smartphone / tablet as well as a computer .
From smartphones and tablets
First of all, let ‘s see how to add an administrator to a Facebook page by acting from a smartphone and tablet , using the Facebook app for Android (also downloadable from alternative stores ) or iOS / iPadOS .
Therefore, after downloading and launching the app, log into your account if necessary. Once this is done, press the menu icon at the top right and press on the name of the page you created (if you do not see the name of the page among the quick links , tap on the item Pages , to see the list of pages that manage).
Then, on the page screen, tap the Edit Page> Settings> Page Roles buttons . Now, press the button Add a person to the page , type the password of your account and press the Continue button . On the next screen, enter the name of the user you want to make administrator in the text field displayed and select his name in the menu that appears.
Finally, put the check mark next to the Administrator entry and tap the Add button . The user appointed as administrator will receive a notification and will have to accept the invitation, by pressing the Accept button , to become a full administrator.
At any time, you can change the role or remove a person previously added as an administrator. To do this, in the Roles screen of the page , tap on the pencil icon relating to the user to delete / modify, then press the Remove button to delete the administrator from the page, otherwise put the check mark next to one of the other roles available and press the Save button .
Alternatively, you can add and manage an administrator, by implementing a similar procedure, through Meta Business Suite , the app for Android (also downloadable from alternative stores ) and iOS / iPadOS that allows you to manage your Facebook and Instagram pages with ease. .
After downloading and starting the app, at the first login, tap the Continue button to log in with the same account used for the Facebook app . Once the first configuration has been completed, tap on the Tools button at the bottom and then press on the Settings > Edit roles of the page to add new people and manage those already on the page, using the Add a person to the page button and then following the same instructions provided in the previous lines.
From computer
To add an administrator to the Facebook page from a computer , connect to the official Facebook website and log into your account if required. Then click on the name of the page in the right side bar, if present among the Quick Links related to the pages you manage. Otherwise, select the page of your interest via the Pages menu item located in the left bar.
Now, click on the Settings item, in the Manage Page side menu and select the Page Roles option visible in the menu on the left. In the new page open, locate the item Assign a new role in the page and through the drop-down menu where the Editor option appears , select the item Administrator .
Once this is done, to add a new administrator, enter his name or email in the text field displayed and select the corresponding user; then click on the Add button , type your account password in the Password field (if required) and press the Send button . The person invited to fill the page administrator role will be notified and will have to accept the invitation by clicking on the Accept button .
You can remove a previously added administrator by always acting through the Roles section of the page . In fact, identify the user you intend to remove and press the relative Edit button ; then click on the item Remove and on the Confirm button . If, on the other hand, the user had not yet accepted the invitation, you can simply click on the Cancel the invitation and Confirm buttons and that’s it.
To change the role, on the other hand, press the Edit button , click on the Administrator item and, through the drop-down menu, select one of the other available roles ( Publisher or Moderator , for example), click on the Save button and enter the password of your account to confirm the change.
How to add Facebook group administrator
If, on the other hand, you have created a Facebook group , to add an administrator to it you have to perform a completely different procedure to that illustrated in the previous chapters, as Groups are completely different from Pages .
To carry out this operation from smartphone / tablet or from computer you must go to the section dedicated to group members and select the name of the person to add as administrator, using the Add as administrator button .
