CHAR is a worksheet function that can be used in both Excel and Google Sheets. It is a built-in function that can be used in a cell formula for a variety of purposes.
The token has a specific Unicode number that you can use with the CHAR function. Just two steps:
- Enter this exact CHAR function in the cell you want to create the token = CHAR (8226)
- Press Enter.
You will see the marker will immediately appear in your Google Sheets cell. Alternatively, you can use a formula to automatically add markers to an existing list. For example, if your list starts in cell A2, to make a bullet list in cell B2, you would type:
= SYMBOL (8226) & ”“ & A2
After that, you can also just copy the cell values and then paste them at any time.
