Google and Yandex are the two most popular search engines in our country. Which one cannot be better said, because both have pros and cons:
- Yandex takes into account your geolocation, but Google does not. So, if in “Yandex” you will be offered goods from the nearest stores, then Google can leave links to foreign sites, for example, on Amazon, which does not work with Russia at all.
- On the first lines “Yandex” places the sites with the greatest activity, and Google can keep links to old sources that no one uses for years.
- On the other hand, Google indexes fresh sites faster than Yandex. If the information you need has appeared on the Internet quite recently, it is better to search for it in Google.
- Yandex is focused on the Russian-speaking audience, so it is better to look there for questions related to the Moscow metro or the beginning of the heating season.
- At the same time, it is more difficult to find data in a foreign language in Yandex. If you need documents in English or German, use Google.
- It is better to search for content of the 18+ category in Yandex. Google simply won’t give you links to the sites you want.
