How Fast Travel Works in Stellar Blade

Stellar Blade is a new slasher from the Korean developer studio Shift Up, where you will face fierce battles with monsters in a post-apocalyptic world. There is no usual open world, but the scope for exploring locations can still be considered large-scale. Therefore, it is extremely important to master the local fast travel system, which is available from the very beginning of the game, but requires attention from the player.

Fast travel in Stellar Blade will make exploring locations much easier, speed up side quests, and make finding all the costumes for Eva much easier. It’s worth noting that to unlock a new fast travel point, you’ll need to find it in the location, and it’s very easy to miss. Below, you’ll learn more about how to use fast travel and not miss anything in the game.

How to Fast Travel in Stellar Blade

You can use fast travel in Stellar Blade by interacting with phone booths located in supply camps and important landmarks in each destination. It is important to remember that supply camps are different from regular camps, and the ability to fast travel only appears in supply camps.

Once you find a phone booth, interact with it using the R2 button and you will be shown a list of different destinations that you can currently go to. Select where you want to go, confirm your choice, and you will be instantly transported there.

In some of the larger open areas you can explore, like the Wasteland, there are phone booths scattered throughout. If you don’t notice them right away, you can always spot a red phone symbol on your screen. The symbol will appear when you’re near a missed fast travel point. Follow the marker and press the R2 button to interact with the phone booth and activate the waypoint.

How to Fast Travel Settlements in Stellar Blade

When you get to places like Xion, fast travel will work a little differently. You still have to use phone booths, but this time they can be scattered around the settlement, and you’ll need to find them and then pick them up to activate them as a fast travel point on your map.

As with exploring some outdoor areas, when you are near a phone that you have not activated, a red “Phone” symbol will appear on your screen showing where it is.

Then, in addition to picking up your phone, you can swipe up on the touchpad to bring up a map of the settlement’s area, and hover over any of the red phone symbols here (waypoints) to instantly travel to them.

Now you know how the fast movement mechanics are implemented in the new action game
