From time to time, miHoYo Studio publishes Honkai Star Rail promo codes that provide free access to various in-game resources. As a rule, with the help of promo codes, you can get credits, Star Jade, Refined Ether, Traveler’s Guide and a couple more resources.
Most often, such codes are announced during presentations of future updates, sometimes developers generate them for limited promotions or distribute them during various near-game activities.
In this guide, we collect valid promo codes for August 2024. The text was last updated on August 21.

Honkai Star Rail promo codes from streams and presentations
During the broadcasts dedicated to the next updates, the Honkai Star Rail developers usually announce three promo codes (sometimes more – usually as compensation).
Such promo codes are valid for only a few hours, so they are posted in a separate news item – they are valid for too short a time, there is no point in adding them to the general guide.
Honkai Star Rail Promo Codes for Beginners
There is currently only one promo code in the game, valid since the release of Honkai Star Rail: the developers left it especially for new players so that they could get some bonuses immediately after joining the Star Express.
If Honkai Star Rail adds other “eternal” promo codes in the future, they will also appear in this section.

Where to enter the promo code in Honkai Star Rail?
There are two ways to activate promo codes in the game. First, you can enter the promo code through a special section on the developers’ website: most likely, this option will appeal more to players on consoles and mobile devices.
Secondly, the promo code can be activated inside Honkai Star Rail itself. This option may be suitable for PC players: copy, paste, and done.
Where to enter the promo code in Honkai Star Rail?
The easiest way to activate the promo code is from the game client itself. First, open your Smartphone (on PC, you can do this with the ESC button), then press the key with three dots located to the right of your character’s nickname: we have highlighted it with a red oval, you won’t miss it.
A menu will open in which you need to select the “Promo code” item.
Click on the desired menu item, enter the code, click on the button and the resources are in your pocket. Or rather, in a letter on the in-game mail.
How to activate a promo code on the official website?
There is another way to activate promo codes: the received code can be activated through a special section on the official website of the Honkai Star Rail development studio.
For players on mobile platforms (and in the Honkai Star Rail version for PlayStation 5), this method of activating promo codes may be more convenient.
Important: if you activate the promo code for Honkai Star Rail via the website, you will have to choose the appropriate server. Most likely, you are playing on the European server, so if in doubt, choose it.
However, it is unlikely that you will make a mistake: after selecting a server, a list of characters will be loaded, where you will need to select your hero. After choosing, activate the promo code, the character will receive bonuses.
Where can I get bonuses for entering promo codes?
Once the promo code is activated, the bonuses linked to it will not be automatically added to your character. To receive the bonuses, you will have to log in to Honkai Star Rail and open your in-game mail: it is accessible via Smartphone (ESC key on PC).
In your mail you need to find a letter from the developers, bonuses from activated promo codes are linked to this letter. Please note: if you do not open this letter for a long time, the bonuses will be deleted.
Is it possible to buy promo codes?
The short answer is no. The slightly longer answer is maybe. The developers of Honkai Star Rail occasionally organize collaborations (usually with eateries), in which participants receive promotional codes for placing an order.
In most cases, such collaborations are held in China, sometimes they are held in Western countries, but much less often. In Russia, such a collaboration was with Dodo Pizza, it was valid until mid-November. There are no other promotional actions on the Russian market yet.
