Halo Infinite: How to Add Friends

So you play on Xbox and your friends on PC. They are both ready to hear “Double Kill!” Over and over in the multiplayer of Halo Infinite, but you don’t know how to add friends. Well fear not, because this guide will tell you everything you need to know about adding Xbox players to your PC and what we know about how to do it the other way around.

Add friends in Halo Infinite

Your friends list in Halo Infinite is determined by the friends list in your Xbox Live account. As such, you will need to add people to Xbox Live so that you can easily invite them from your friends list in Halo Infinite.

  • To do this, press the Xbox button and go to the “People” tab on Xbox. From there, select the ‘Find someone’ option and then enter your Gamertag.
  • On PC, you will need to open the Social menu by pressing Tab on the main menu, then click on “Find Friends” at the bottom of this screen.
  • You can now click on the Steam or Discord options, where you can then enter your friend’s username on either platform and send them an invitation to your Fireteam.
  • To reiterate, you will need to add the Gamertag of the player you want to play with, either on Xbox or PC. This is done through the Xbox social menu, or for PC gamers, they can access it through the Xbox Console Companion application that comes pre-installed on Windows systems.
  • Since Steam players must be signed into a Microsoft account to play Halo Infinite (their Xbox Live account), it doesn’t matter if they are playing on Steam or through the Microsoft Store version of the game.
  • Now go play with your Fireteam.
