Hades is the rogue-lite everyone is talking about right now. Endowed with a lot of qualities, the game from Super Giant Games also offers an incredible lifespan for the most obstinate among us. These six companions can be difficult or, at least, long to unlock, we explain everything in this article .

List of Hades companions
Companions are six and are unlocked by offering gifts and completing tasks for six of Zagreus’ colleagues in the underworld . As you return to Hades’ house. You must first offer 6 nectars to each of the characters listed below and then perform various actions that we will list below:
- To unlock Cubitos, offer nectar and help Thados .
- To unlock Vivi, you’ll have to help Mégère .

- Finally, by helping Thanatos, you will unlock Death .
How to unlock companions step by step
You will quickly understand that giving nectar to the characters you meet will make them happy and give you a memory (and a heart in the Codex). After giving six nectars to the mentioned characters, you will not have another interaction with the character until you have achieved his favor and thus unlock the second part of his hearts.
Cubitos – Thados
To do Thados and the companion Cubitos a favor , you will first need to unlock at least three weapon aspects and give Thados nectar six times. During your next meeting he will explain to you that he will be freed from the Underworld and finally really dead if you kill him with the blade of the Styx and the aspect of Zagreus at maximum level . Use your Titan Blood Savings and grant your skeletal friend’s wish. You will thus have the opportunity to offer Thados his first Ambrosia.
If you understand for the umpteenth time that Thados is ultimately just a joke, he will give you access to the Cubitos companion. The latter will allow you to summon a punching bag of 250 Life Points on which the enemies will persevere . From one to five uses, the companion will be improved with more Ambrosia.
Vivi – Shrew
As your runs, you will have faced Mégère many times . Despite everything, Erynia is not resentful and will accept your donations of nectars in the house of Hades. In addition, successfully unlocking your companion Vivi is simple.
Indeed, after a random number of meetings with her , Mégère will approach Zagreus in his room to tell him that she is preventing him from escaping only because she has to (for that, she must first have gone in his room to collect his things). After this interaction, Megera will be able to receive Ambrosia the next time you meet her in the House of Hades. Vivi will then be unlocked and you can use it in your runs to inflict 2,500 damage around the enemy closest to you, then a straight line behind them .
Ombros – Sisyphus
You will meet Sisyphus randomly in his Tartarus room. The latter is loyal to you despite threats from Thanatos. It therefore deserves your six nectars. At this point, you will still have to work to help him in his task by talking several times with him then Nyx by returning to the house of Hades.
After your few demands, Nyx will agree to help Sisyphus . You will then unlock at the foreman’s help to Sisyphus (against four diamonds ). The next time you meet him, Sisyphus will grant you access to Ombros. This invocation will launch 1000 damage points to all enemies in the room and will offer you a reward (10 Obsidians, 30 Obolles de Charon or 10 HP).
Antos – Achilles
Achilles, your mentor, is no exception. Having taught you a lot in combat, he deserves your six nectars. Afterwards, Achilles’ favor is to find a way to reunite him with his lifelong companion, Patroclus (whom you meet in a random room in the Elysee). As your discussions with the two men progress, Patroclus will tell you to send a message to Achilles, to “risk everything”. Hearing this, Achilles will remember the last time he heard this phrase .
Later, he will ask Zagreus to modify his pact with Hades to allow him to enter the Elysee and see Patroclus. Once Zagreus locates the pact with Nyx’s help, it will cost five diamonds to grant Achilles’ wish to the foreman. Achilles will then grant you access to Antos, a companion that deals 1500 damage to two enemies one after the other .
Fidi – Dusa
Dusa works hard in Hades’s house to keep everything clean. In addition to your 6 nectars, you will have to help her tidy up the living room. You will need to help him bring it up to Nyx standards by bringing in the foreman to do a minimum of twelve salon renovations , which must include at least one carpet for the area as well as cleaning Cerberus fur and scratches he left on the floor.
This will unlock the ability to give Ambrosia to Dusa and thus summon Fidi . It can be used during your runs to repeatedly fire shots that petrify enemies and do 70 damage .
Death – Thanatos
Your competitor and brother Thanatos is definitely the character you will meet the least, so make sure to treat him to some nectar whenever possible . All the more so when we know that unlocking the favor of Thanatos afterwards is very easy.
Indeed, defeating Thanatos after giving him 6 nectars will randomly spark a discussion between the two that Zagreus is powerful enough to escape the Underworld without Thanatos’ help. Once Zagreus proves his strength to Thanatos, the latter can receive Ambrosia the next time he is encountered in the House of Hades. You will then be able to summon Death , a companion that deals 3500 damage in an area in front of you with a short delay after summoning .
Note, to conclude, that most of these favors that you will grant to the different characters are almost all prophecies requested on the desk in Zagreus’ bedroom . Thus, in addition to unlocking the summons, you will be rewarded with many resources.
