Comparison of characters by characteristics, choosing the best hero, all ways to unlock fighters and much more
At the time of this writing, there were 23 characters in Brawl Stars , each of which is unique in its own way and differs from the rest in terms of health points, the amount of damage done, has its own superpowers and star power (ult). And despite the fact that they are all supposedly divided into different levels of rarity, it is absolutely not necessary that you play an epic character better than a rare one. Below we will tell you more about all the heroes and how to get them.
Character types
All heroes can be divided into 6 categories:
- purchased for cups,
- rare,
- super rare,
- epic,
- mythical,
And again one “but”: often the level of rarity of a fighter does not correspond to his specific characteristics. The epic warrior Piper was rightfully named by many gamers as the worst playable character. Thus, in order to determine how effective a fighter is, the criterion of effectiveness should be applied in different game events / modes. It is possible to distinguish a number of universal heroes, useful almost everywhere, and several narrow-profile fighters, who, due to their specificity, can successfully use only in some modes or benefit exclusively from certain situations.
The lists of characters by tier (level / rank) are formed by fans and experienced Brawl Stars players, so one or the other cannot be called truly correct. On the other hand, there is at least a bit of truth in each of them.
First, about the rating:
- S– versatile fighters (not the best of their kind, but those that are suitable for many situations);
- A– slightly inferior to S;
- B– slightly worse than A, but still may not be suitable for many modes;
- C– narrow-profile warriors;
- D– it is almost impossible to achieve a positive result with them.
How to unlock new characters in Brawl Stars
You can get any characters when you open boxes that differ from each other in size and capacity. There are 3 types of boxes:
- standard,
- big,
- mega beacons.
The regularity is correct: the larger the box in overall dimensions, the higher the chance of a hero falling out. Not everything is as simple as it seems. In addition to luck, the drop rate of each fighter depends on its rarity, which we wrote about at the beginning of the article. At the same time, luck is not some kind of fictional indicator. As soon as you knock a character out of the box, luck disappears, there will be no fighters in the next boxes. On the other hand, if you haven’t found new heroes for a long time, then there is a high probability of a new one falling out.
Characters for rating points
These heroes can be unlocked by winning the game. There are 7 locked characters in total and Shelly, who is ranked C. Here is a list of the remaining heroes by tier:
- D – Bo;
- C – Colt and Dynamike;
- B – Bull and Brock;
- A – Jesse and Nita.
Just launch the game regularly, participate in different modes and are guaranteed to unlock each of the heroes. Click on the nickname at the top left of the screen to see a scale that shows how many cups (rating points) are required to unlock a particular hero. It makes sense that Jesse, Nita and Brock are the best among these characters.
Jessie
Overall, Nita is one of the best female warriors in Brawl Stars. She has high damage, she is able to summon a huge bear on the battlefield and use powerful star power. We remind you that the latter becomes available after raising any hero to the 9th level. Nita’s star power allows her to restore health points to herself and the bear, damaging opponents. If you are one of those players who do not like donation, then Nita is the best option for gradual and free pumping.
Jessie’s combat characteristics are roughly similar to Nita’s. This heroine installs a turret on the map that shoots at opponents. And here the huge disadvantage of the turret (and Jesse) manifests itself – the immobility of the stationary installation. Jesse’s star power is also worse: she can restore HP to the turret, while the turret cannot affect Jesse’s health points.
Finally, Brock uses a rocket launcher, allowing him to shoot long distances. But since the missiles fly slowly, opponents can easily dodge them. However, over time, you will definitely get used to this feature of the gameplay, you will be able to predict where the enemy will go in order to inflict huge damage on him with one hit.
Rare
Despite the category name, these characters are not super rare. You can unlock heroes without investing real money. This includes three characters – El Primo and Barley B-tier, as well as Poco of rank C.
El Primo
Many gamers love El Primo , and some classify it as a level A and S. And he really will be a powerful opponent if he is in the right hands. This is a fast hero, dealing a lot of damage, which is not easy to hit.
Barley throws incendiary mixtures, so he can become another thorn in the seat. Finally, Medic Poco will be a solid option in team battles.
Super rare
There are three characters in this category:
- C – Rico;
- B – Penny;
- A – Darryl.
It is logical that Darryl is the best – a robot wielding a double-barreled shotgun, capable of instantly changing its position. Huge damage and high mobility made him a dangerous opponent. Thanks to this, he easily hides from opponents, finding himself in difficult situations, and can also catch up and finish off the driven target himself.
Darryl
Penny is absolutely not suitable for close combat, but it shows itself well at long distances. A super ability allows her to place a cannon, the projectiles of which reach the target and damage enemies in cover.
Rico is a relatively good hero, the main drawback of which is a small supply of health points. He will inevitably lose to every opponent in melee. On the other hand, projectiles from his weapons fly long distances and are reflected from the walls. This way, you will be able to guide them at specific angles.
Epic
Three more characters:
- D – Piper;
- C – Frank;
- S – Pam.
Knocking Pam out of the drawer is like pulling out a golden ticket. This is a mobile character with fast attacks, a large radius of damage and an impressive supply of health points. Pam is able to restore health points to herself and allies with the help of superpowers and star power. It is very difficult to kill the heroine.
Pam
Frank will be useful in battle with characters with a minimum supply of health points. After its attack, a shock wave is formed that propagates in different directions in the form of a “triangle”. Frank’s main drawback is low mobility and slowness. He looks very awkward, so fast heroes like Colt can easily deal with him by keeping their distance.
In literally one shot, Piper is able to remove most of the health points to her opponent or finish off a wounded enemy. In this case, the damage will be the higher, the longer the projectile flew to the target. On the other hand, as the distance increases, the chance of hitting the target decreases. Even at medium distances, this is problematic. Thus, despite its “epic” Piper is quite specific and requires skillful handling.
Mythical
The three mythical heroes are:
- D – Mortis;
- A – Tara and Jin.
In team battles, Tara will be practically irreplaceable . With her superpower, she can pull nearby enemies to the same place. While this happens, they all take damage, and also become vulnerable to attacks from allies.
Container
Jin is a new fighter with high strength. he is capable of inflicting high damage, can attract the enemy, restore health points to himself and allies with the help of star power.
Mortis is a fast hero who is the least effective due to low damage. A difficult to control fighter, ignored by most gamers.
Legendary
Legendary heroes include:
- D – Raven;
- S – Spike and Leon.
To open all the heroes, you will have to spend a lot of time and money. However, two out of three are the best in the game!
In battle, Raven uses poisoned daggers, which, when hit, inflict minor damage to the enemy. However, the average indicators of damage and health points do not allow to fight on a par with “tanks”.
Raven
Spike uses frag grenades (cacti) in battle. Although he is a slow hero, he is capable of dealing high damage and his super ability to slow down enemies. Star Power allows Spike to regenerate health points when activating a Super Attack.
Many managed to crown Leon as the best fighter in the game. And there is every reason for this! His super ability allows him to become invisible for the next 8 seconds. He throws blades. And if he does this close to the enemy, then the blades inflict huge damage. It will be difficult to react to his attacks: all you have to do is go behind the enemy’s back in stealth mode and attack him. In most cases, this will lead to his death.
Finally, I would like to emphasize that it makes no sense to unconditionally trust the shooting lists. You can take them for the truth, but it is much better to test the fighters yourself. On the other hand, you will still unlock heroes randomly, so you have to be content with what you have at the moment. And we can’t say that certain characters in Brawl Stars are the worst. Perhaps other players simply could not find the approach to them the way you do!
