Gacha Shop in Zenless Zone Zero Explained: Banners, Coins, and Rewards

We explain how the gacha shop system works in Zenless Zone Zero, what banners are available and their rewards, how to perform rolls or attunements, probabilities and much more.

Zenless Zone Zero is a game developed by the Chinese company HoYoverse, the same creators of Genshin Impact , and as such we are facing a free title with ‘gacha’ mechanics , which means that it has a digital store in which players can make rolls to various banners to get varied rewards from a random selection of possible items, such as new characters , amplifiers or Bangbús .

If this is your first time in a game of this style, we advise you to check out this entry in our guide , as below we are going to explain how ZZZ’s gacha tunings work, what each banner in the store needs or what coins you need to make spins and what are the chances of getting different rewards.

Gacha System Basics: How Does It Work?

Shortly after starting to play Zenless Zone Zero and progressing through the adventure’s prologue , you’ll unlock access to the “Tuning” section in the game menu . This is the name given to ZZZ’s gacha system, and through this menu you’ll always find various banners where you can spin like you would on a slot machine.

That is, in each banner you can invest specific “coins” to make 1 spin or 10 consecutive spins and randomly win certain items. To make it easier for you to understand, these banners are similar to envelopes inside which there is always a reward, but you won’t know exactly which one until you “open” it.

ZZZ banners are called “channels” and through them you can win some of the main elements of the game such as:

  • Agents: Playable characters, A or S rank, ready to use in missions and combats.
  • Amplifiers (W-Engines): Weapons your Agents will use, B, A, or S rank, that provide special stats and abilities.
  • Bangbus: Teammates, A or S rank, who can provide support skills in battle.

The main way to unlock new characters and Bangbus in ZZZ is through gacha banners, so it’s important to know how these work and visit the Tune Up Shop often to shoot at banners. Amplifiers, meanwhile, can still be obtained through other methods , but you’ll earn plenty of them in the gacha shop eventually.

What gacha channels are in the store? Rewards and odds

Now we are going to explain to you what the main banners or channels of the ZZZ gacha store are, so that you know what rewards each one contains or what coins they require to make spins.

In general, there are four main categories of channels:

Stable channel

The Stable Channel is ZZZ’s main banner and is always available . It offers both S- or A-rank Agents and unlimited Amplifiers among its rewards. For example, by performing 50 attunements on this channel, you are guaranteed to get an S-grade character (one time only).

Every 90 times you tune into this channel, you’ll receive a guaranteed S-grade signal (which means it can be either an Agent or an Amplifier). With a bit of luck, you can get S-grade characters like Grace, Koleda, Lycaon, Nekomiya, No. 11, or Rina on this banner .

  • Please note that the chance rate to get an S-Rank character or amplifier from this banner is set to 0.6% .
  • The chance rate for A-rank characters or boosters on this banner is set to 9.4% .
  • Additionally, every time you roll 300 of this banner, you will be able to choose an available S-rank agent .

Please note that rolls for this banner are made by spending exclusively Original Tapes , the standard currency for ZZZ’s attunements that can be obtained in missions, events, the Season Pass , or by exchanging films in the store (as well as acquiring them with micropayments of Frames ).

Exclusive channel

The Exclusive Channel is ZZZ’s limited-time banner , meaning that its rewards rotate periodically after a few weeks. Typically, one S-rank character and two A-rank characters , as well as A-grade Strengthened Signals from Amplifiers, are offered on a limited basis on this banner.

Every 90 tunes to this channel you will receive a guaranteed S grade signal, while every 10 tunes will be A grade or higher.

  • Please note that the chance rate to get an S-rank character or boosters from this banner is set to 0.6% .
  • The chance rate for A-rank characters or boosters on this banner is set to 9.4% .
  • When you get an S grade agent on this channel, there is a 50% chance that they will be the banner’s exclusive agent.
  • If the token obtained is not the exclusive agent, the next time you get an S-grade reward it is 100% guaranteed that it will be.

Specifically, the draws to this banner are made by spending exclusively encrypted ribbons .

Amplified channel

The Amplified Channel is similar to the Exclusive Channel, but this time it focuses on offering either one S-Grade Exclusive Amplifier or two A-Grade Amplifiers for a limited time .

Every 90 tunes to this channel you will receive a guaranteed S grade signal, while every 10 tunes will be A grade or higher.

  • Please note that the chance rate to get an S-Rank Amplifier from this banner is set to 1% .
  • The chance rate for A-rank amplifiers from this banner is set to 15% .
  • When you get an S-Grade Amplifier in this channel, there is a 50% chance that it will be the banner’s exclusive Amplifier.
  • If the signal obtained is not the exclusive amplifier, the next time you obtain an S-grade reward it is 100% guaranteed to be.

Specifically, the draws to this banner are made by spending exclusively encrypted ribbons .

Bangbu Channel

he last of ZZZ’s channels is the Bangbú channel , which is unlocked later in the story, during Chapter 1 of the adventure, and is intended exclusively for getting new Bangbús for your collection.

In this banner, you can only make spins with Bangbupón , a “currency” that cannot be purchased with microtransactions and is only earned by completing missions, events, or modes such as Zero Cavities.

  • On the Bangbú channel you are allowed to tune in to signals of a specific type of S-rank Bangbú that you are interested in obtaining.
  • Every 10 tunings are guaranteed to give you a signal of S grade or higher.
  • Every 80 attunements you will receive a guaranteed S-grade Bangbu.
  • The chance rate to get an S-Rank Bangbus from this banner is set to 1% .
  • The chance rate for A-Rank Bangbus of this banner is set to 15% .
