Fortnite black hole: here’s what happened
Yesterday, Sunday 13 October, Fortnite’s The End of Season 11 ended. And more than 4 million players have remained to observe the Epic Games title while being sucked into a black hole that has literally absorbed the game’s map. It is a real apocalypse, however, wanted by the software house to give a new start to its shooter.
The event saw the departure of a rocket from the Magazzino Muffito area, which started a series of events that led to a bombardment of the map and the impact with the comet (already appeared last year). The explosion generated a kind of black hole that slowly sucked in the map, characters and even the game’s menu.
Users were thus faced with a simple screen with a black hole , mysterious numbers and some clues left by Epic Games. In fact, many players have really feared that the developers had decided to pull the plug on their favorite game.
The new course of Fortnite
According to the most founded rumors, the black hole should act as a pretext for the creation of a new course of Fortnite, with a new map and game mechanics never seen before. Of course, complaints from users were not lacking: the extent of the event in fact caused some malfunctions to the Epic Games Store services.
Apparently, in fact, the players were unable to start the games present in the store, precisely because of the blackout that hit the PC platform. Some players were then in the middle of the final challenges of Season 11 just when the black hole swallowed everything
