Far Cry 6 is finally here, bringing another huge map for players to explore deep things, explosions, or quietly hide in the shadows to take out enemies along the way. Regardless of how you want to approach the game’s combat, chances are good that you want to use vehicles to at least get around the gigantic world of Yara. In this guide we will explain how to repair vehicles in Far Cry 6 , for those moments when your trip seems to be a little worse due to wear and tear.
Vehicle repair in Far Cry 6
To repair vehicles, simply select the repair tool on your gun wheel by pressing and holding L1 / LB, then selecting it in the lower right corner.
The repair tool can be found in the lower right corner of your weapon’s wheel.
You’ll unlock the repair tool not far from the game as part of the tutorial island, so don’t worry if you don’t have it yet. It will come eventually.
With your repair tool equipped, walk to the side of a vehicle and hold down R2 / RT. This should bring the repair tool torch to life, and a health gauge will appear for the vehicle and begin to fill.
Press R2 with the repair tool equipped when stopped to the side and in front of a vehicle to repair it.
Once it is completely full, you have completely repaired the vehicle and are ready to go.
Alternatively, once you have the repair tool, you can walk up the side of a damaged vehicle and you should get the “Repair” message assigned to Square on PS5 and B on Xbox. Tap it and you will automatically equip your repair tool.
It should be noted that you cannot repair vehicles that are fully totaled. In other words, if the metal is completely black and charred because you just made it play the role play, then you can kiss it forever.
What vehicles can be repaired?
Each type of vehicle can be repaired with the repair tool in Far Cry 6. Remember that not all completely destroyed vehicles can be repaired. Anything that has been slightly damaged, however, can be.
