This general part is clearly visible when comparing the methodological tools of descriptive, theoretical and applied linguistics.

Applied Linguistics has a widespread cognitive setting,  ironically called “Hocus Pocus”  ( “engineering approach”). This plant as a core value puts no knowledge of “how things are in reality” and solves a particular problem in a particular case . This, however, does not mean that the results of applied research are of no value to the theory of language.

The special role of linguistics in solving practical problems and needs of society is determined by the very essence of natural human language, which is a unique tool for storing and transmitting information.
