Essay on reservation problem in India

Reservation is a word whose name is on the mouth of every other person, that is, reservation is very much discussed in India. By the way, we are living in the twenty-first century and till now we are fighting the reservation. For the youth and the country’s leaders, the most important question today is that,

  • In which area, and why should reservations be required?
  • Do we really need it? Or not
  • If reservation is to be given, what should be its policy?

Reservation should be given to the person who truly deserves it. Whereas, that person is not getting any benefit. Because, India is a country with huge population. Here people of every caste, community or class reside here. In India, there was a very ancient practice, which was from the time of the British, in which there was a lot of discrimination of high and low. Gradually, this small problem took a huge form. Due to which, on the basis of caste, a person started being identified, and on the basis of that caste, he started being exploited.

The upper class people used to keep low caste people away from themselves, not only in education, jobs, trade-business, even in homes, temples, market, lower caste people were seen with inferiority complex. They were not treated well, according to the old practices, the water of the hands of the low caste people did not even run, the people of the upper caste. To remove this high-pitched gap, laws were enacted as security. So that people of lower caste also get equal rights in every field and they should not be exploited in any way.

Reservation History

In India, the practice of reservation was centuries old. Sometimes in some form, sometimes in some form, Dalits are exploited. Do not give respect to the people of Dalit class, never insult them. They did not have the freedom to sit up and get up. For this, Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar first raised his voice for the Dalits and fought for their rights, and demanded to make laws for them, and laws were made for them. Through historical facts and archaeological sources, it is known that the relationship of reservation with India is very old. The only difference is that, over time, its form changed. After all, what was this reservation, and where did it originate from, what were its main grounds. Was it just on the basis of caste? There are many questions that everyone wants to know.

In earlier times, religion, caste, caste and gender were the basic basis of reservation. We have heard a lot of things in the form of stories, we have also seen something like, according to ancient practices, the Pandit’s son will become a Pandit, the doctor’s son will become a doctor, and the moneylender’s moneylender is like this. This determination was based on the caste , the total of that person. In the same way, a female class, which had to follow only the curtain system, could not live its life freely, a woman was dependent on everything, for something. Education and jobIn the field of, too, the dominance of the upper class started spreading. A very common example of this is seen many times in our homes, if anyone, a worker or a servant is kept, his caste is asked first before placing it, why is that? Is she not a human being? Do they not have the right to equality and freedom? This should become the basic basis of all reservations.

What is reservation? (What is Reservation System)

Reservation was a fight for their rights, for which, it was necessary to raise voice. Since the old times, the Shudras, one of the four divided classes, and in view of the safety of women, there were many other main grounds from which, for some people who were falling behind, reservation was a security. Reservation, in a way, is a special right for those who were being exploited. Everyone needed reservation to live life with equality and freedom.

Aim / Objective of Reservation

When a person does not get his general rights, he exercises his special rights. The main objective of reservation is to give everyone the right to equality in all areas. Either way, no rights are violated. And nobody should abuse their rights, this is the main basis of reservation.

Owner) and Shudra (all those who worked). The first three Jatis used to live their lives with full respect and authority, but the Shudra people used to live their lives like bonded laborers. There were no rights of any kind, in the name of job, there were only such things as cleaning the dirt, cleaning the animals, cleaning the fields. With these works, a person had to spend his life and this work was hereditary. The people of the Shudra caste did not have any rights to buy land, to get higher education, to do business. It was a very pathetic situation for the low caste people.
