Games are fun, of course, but the main thing is not to play too much and not to spend too much time on them. So sometimes it is important to face the truth and see how many hours you have spent in the next multiplayer shooter or open-world RPG and be horrified by the number you see in order to think about changes in your life. In the case of the Epic Games video game service, you can always find out this important information, and in several ways at once.
Epic Games Guide – How to See How Many Hours You’ve Spent in a Game
View the time in the game through the launcher
While the game time counter isn’t displayed by default, you can check this statistic right in the Epic Games Store. To do this, launch the launcher, go to the Library, and click the three dots next to the game you’re interested in. The menu that opens will show, among other information, how much time you’ve played.
And if you want to see statistics for all the games you’ve ever played through Epic Games, choose the list view by clicking the icon in the top right.
After that, your entire game library will be displayed in a convenient list, which can be further sorted by time in the game using the corresponding filter in the upper left corner.
Please note that in some games purchased through EGS but linked to third-party services , such as Ubisoft projects, the time counter may be displayed incorrectly. In such cases, you will have to look for this information either in another launcher or in the game itself.
Request reports to track your gaming time
This feature is available to users who have chosen to enable parental controls on their Epic Games account to monitor how much and how often their child plays.
We have separately discussed the functionality and capabilities of this system in another guide .
If desired, you can view a daily summary of profile activity in the parental control settings in the corresponding section or request detailed weekly reports on hours played by email.
