Microphone introduction and description
The Elgato Wave Neo is a microphone that combines quality and simplicity. It is a plug and play microphone compatible with Windows, Mac and even PS5 or iPhone via USB C or with a Lightning adapter. It is designed for maximum clarity in meetings, voice recording or streaming.
The box is made of recycled cardboard with a very resistant design. The model name and its logo are engraved at the top, in a space with a slight protuberance. On this front side we can see the design of the case and, on the back side we can see its parts and functions as well as a QR to access the manual.
The casing is made of plastic. For the base and the mast we have metal. The base is completely rubberized at its base and we have a convenient 10 cm mast extender with cable glands that will help us mitigate keyboard noise by bringing the microphone closer to our mouth.
The cable is mesh, 5 mm thick and 155 mm long. At one end adapted to the case we have a USB type C connector and, at the opposite end to connect to our computer, console or other device we have a USB type A connector.
The microphone has a low-latency headphone output on a 3.5mm minijack on the back, above the USB connector. On the front we have a tactile mute button, just touch it gently for it to act, changing the lighting from white to red indicating the mute.
It is a studio quality and highly sensitive microphone, it is a condenser microphone with a cardioid pattern, which is centered on the front and covers a heart-shaped area, providing the cleanest sound. The pop filter is removable, we can purchase 5 other colors.
The main arm connected to the housing has very good compatibility for connecting to supports. We have holes to screw it in thicknesses of 1/4″, 5/8″ and 3/8″ to be able to use professional level supports or arms that can better adjust to our setup.

If you are a content creator, streamer, or podcaster looking for a high-quality USB microphone with advanced features, the Elgato Wave Neo is definitely worth considering.
