Ecovacs Deebot T10 Turbo review

Last weekend we had fun reviewing the Deebot T10 Turbo robot vacuum cleaner and floor washer by Ecovacs , a real top of the range. Here’s how it went.Cleaning the house is definitely not a walk in the park, dust, crumbs and dirt are always around the corner and in many cases you don’t even have the time to do a perfect job. 

It is no coincidence that in recent years more and more companies have been developing floor cleaning robots to optimize cleaning times and at the same time guarantee a job almost equal to vacuuming with the most common vacuum cleaners.

However, there are so many domestic robots on the market and sometimes to find the one that best suits your needs you have to try more than one. Today we are going to review the Deebot T10 Turbo floor cleaning robot , a device ready to clean and wash the floor, adding excellent materials at a competitive price. Let’s see it put to the test with our tests and try to understand if it deserves the purchase or it is better to tack on an alternative solution.

Deebot T10 Turbo: the complete test

In recent years, Ecovacs has developed high quality robot vacuum cleaners , which could meet the needs of both those who own a very large house and those who do not need extremely extensive cleaning inside the rooms. The Deebot T10 Turbo model is the high-end upgrade of the Standard and Plus versions .

Packaging and Unboxing

Let’s start with what the package is and what you will find inside it. By purchasing this model, in addition to the floor cleaning robot, you will also find: side brushes , washable cloths for washing the floor, the already operational and assembled cleaning station , the power cord , a cleaning brush for robot maintenance, the instruction manual and all the cleaning tools to keep the robot in the best possible way.

As you can deduce, nothing is missing for washing your floor, you won’t have to buy extra cloths, in fact, you just need to install the device, charge its battery and start the cleaning process with the accessories already included in the package. Ecovacs did not spare itself with accessories in the Turbo version, significantly lowering the cost for the purchase of additional elements.

Design and materials

If inside the package you will find everything you need to wash the floor without problems, the protagonist of the box remains the robot, but how does it look aesthetically?

The design does not differ much from those of the previous Ecovacs series, the circular structure has dimensions of 36x36x10 cm and has no particular original elements. The only real difference with its competitors is the laser turret positioned in the upper part, equipped with LiDAR technology complete with three microphones that implement the YIKO voice assistant .

Near the laser turret is a button that activates or pauses automatic cleaning . But there are not only these elements in evidence, hidden by the magnetic lid there are also the 400 ml dustbin developed for collecting dust , the on and off button , in addition to the Wi-Fi status LEDs and the Reset button .

In the lower part of the robot the anti-fall sensors and those for detecting carpets have been installed . The materials are of excellent quality, as much as the charging base which with its dimensions of 44.8×29.5×43.7 cm is not too bulky in the home.

The charging base is equipped with two 3.2 liter tanks and an autonomous system for washing and drying clothes .

Mapping, performance and cleaning with obstacle recognition

When you turn on the Ecovacs Deebot T10 Turbo you will also need to download the official Ecovacs Home app in order to take advantage of all its features. Whether you have an Android or iOS smartphone, compatibility and the Italian interface won’t be a problem.

The navigation system is based on artificial intelligence and allows you to recognize most of the objects that are placed on the floor. The laser turret integrates a 960P camera with star sensor and 150° field of view , but TrueMapping 2.0 technology is the protagonist of navigation and mapping. This technology scans your home or office in both 2D and 3D and allows you to have all the details of the rooms, so you can start cleaning depending on which rooms you want to clean first.

Thanks to the YIKO voice assistant, compatible with Alexa and Google Home , you can also use your voice to start washing. The performances are excellent, given that the 3000 Pa motor is more than enough to guarantee you a good autonomy. You will be able to start three cleaning modes : auto , area and custom ; while for washing there are two .

Wash

We’re sure you’re curious about how the Deebot T10 Turbo performs under stress during the wash. Usually the flagship series of Ecovacs always offers a little more than the competition from this point of view.

By relying on this device, you can count on two washing modes : Deep and Standard . Both of these systems then allow you to choose the options of washing only or thorough cleaning of the corners.

By putting the domestic robot under stress, we found in washing, using the two rotating mops , a much better efficiency than the models with a traditional mop. Thanks to the rotation of 180 rpm and an excellent system that applies pressure to the floor, the final result is very good. The Deep washing mode takes longer, but is objectively more effective, especially in the corners.

Battery autonomy

Often the needle of the scale to choose a floor cleaning robot leans towards the product that can offer a better autonomy. The Ecovacs Deebot T10 Turbo mounts a 5200 mAh battery which theoretically should guarantee you a duration of 260 minutes in silent mode .

As you can imagine, the autonomy of this type of product depends on the power you set to clean your home. In our test, carried out in a 100 m2 apartment with the Standard suction mode , we found an autonomy of 90 minutes , while for the Standard washing the robot did not exceed 60 minutes of continuous use .

Although they may not seem like exceptional values, in reality thanks to the charging base, which automatically calls the robot when it is running low, you will be able to manage the cleaning of your home without problems. The device fully recharges in 6.5 hours .

Control via App

Once you have downloaded the Ecovacs Home application, you will have to start it and click on Open smart cleaning . The software will show you various options with which to customize the cleaning or washing of the rooms.

With the App you will be able to carry out various operations: configuration , cleaning monitoring , advanced functions , activate animal recognition or simply activate the voice assistant .

Inside the application you will also find the section Open video section , this allows you to access all the functions of the camera located in the laser turret. You can also activate voice calling if you need to. Another useful function from the App is the YIKO voice assistant that you can associate with devices compatible with Alexa and Google Home.

Ecovacs Home is extremely complete software, which allows you to customize and use your home robot with great ease.

Price and considerations

In many cases, a robot vacuum cleaner can optimize home cleaning, but as you know, it’s not a super cheap solution. The Deebot T10 Turbo version is among the best on the market , consequently it has a medium-high cost . The list price is 1099.00 euros , but you can currently buy the robot produced by Ecovacs at a cost of 857.21 euros on online stores such as Unieuro . Is it worth it at this price? The washing system is efficient and the navigation system is precise and full of features. If you are looking for a floor cleaning robot with voice assistant and three microphones, you will hardly find better.
