We show you how and where to hire pawns to accompany you during your adventure in Dragon’s Dogma 2, along with how to fire them. Thanks to the pawn system in Dragon’s Dogma 2 , you won’t feel alone at any point during your adventure. You can have a maximum of 3 pawns in your team , with the opportunity to exchange each of them for new pawns of a higher level and vocation .
How to hire pawns in Dragon’s Dogma 2
You’ll encounter these pawns while exploring or just following your route on a mission. You won’t see many of them, so you’ll have to choose carefully who to add to your team. When they see you nearby, they’ll probably stop you to ask if you need someone on your team, letting you know what the best thing they can do for you is.
A menu will open where you can see their vocation , specialty, level, various statistics such as health, strength, skill, their mission and who the Arisen was who created this pawn in question. As you level up and higher level pawns arrive, you will need Rift Crystals to hire them.
Another option to choose pawns is thanks to the forgotten rift stones . When interacting with them, they will reset and summon unique pawns , of a different nature than those that can be summoned in the city. You can enter to choose and exchange the pawns you want in exchange for CF, of course. Once you leave, said stone will be destroyed , so you will have to think carefully and take advantage of the opportunity.
Also, and if all the options that they give us were not enough, in towns and cities we will have a stone where we can also recruit unique pawns . Surely, the first area where you will find this stone will be in Vernworth, so I would recommend you go take a look.
How to Dismiss Pawns in Dragon’s Dogma 2
Firing them is even easier than hiring them, since to do so, you will simply have to talk to the worker you want to fire, and fire him. Yes, yes, that’s it, it’s that easy. Also, in case your team is full and you want to replace one with the new one, simply hire him and you will choose from a menu who you want to eliminate.
Be careful, you can do this with all the pawns except the main one, since that will be the only one that will accompany us throughout our adventure.
