iD Software has published the minimum and recommended requirements for DOOM Eternal for PC , updating those published on Steam a few days ago adding support for more graphics cards. They have also detailed what resolution will work on PS4, Xbox One, PS4 Pro, Xbox One X and Google Stadia ; all of them will move at 60 frames per second.

Minimum, recommended and ultra PC requirements

These requirements will allow playing at 60 frames per second at 1080p (1920 x 1080) resolution with the graphics settings set to “Low” .

Ultra requirements

These “Ultra-Nightmare” specifications are for playing at the maximum graphics settings and at 4K resolution at 60 fps or at 1440p resolution at 120 fps .

  • Windows 10 64-bit.

  • 16 GB of RAM.
  • Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Ti (11 GB) or AMD Radeon VII (16 GB).
  • 50 GB hard disk.

The minimum, recommended and ultra detailed requirements are different from those that you will find in the box of the PC game in the store. Windows 8.1 support has been removed ; Those who continue to use it with AMD graphics cards must use the 19.10.1 drivers for it to work. More Nvidia graphics cards have also been made compatible.

For the recommended requirements, it has been reduced from 16 GB of RAM to 8 GB , among other things; even so, they ensure that the recommended requirements that buyers will see on the box “will work as advertised.” The PC version supports HDR (in case the monitor and graphics card are) in all specifications.

It will work at 1080p on PS4 and at 900p on Xbox One

The developers have also given details of how DOOM Eternal will work on PS4, Xbox One, and intergenerational consoles. All versions will move at 60 frames per second . The standard PlayStation 4 version will run at 1080p and has HDR support . The Xbox One and Xbox One S version will run at 900p with upscaling to 1080p; on Xbox One S there will be HDR.

As for the intergenerational machines, they both have HDR. Xbox One X will run at 1800p with 4K upscaling . The PlayStation 4 Pro version will run at 1440p with 4K upscaling. Finally, on Google Stadia (also with HDR) it will work at 1080p on HD screens; on 4K televisions it will be displayed at that resolution with rescaling from 1800p to 2160p .

DOOM Eternal will arrive on March 20 on all the aforementioned platforms, and throughout 2020 on Nintendo Switch . On PS4 and Xbox One (where it can already be downloaded) it will be available from 00:00 on that day in Spain . On Steam and Bethesda.net it will be available from 01:01 on March 20, while on Google Stadia the launch time will be 05:01 .
