Quick leveling in season 23
You have to know that : In general, almost nothing has changed when leveling up in Diablo 3. What’s new is that you can now better equip your teammates as you level up.
In recent seasons, the DLPrivateServer team had good experiences with the level method, which includes the challenge portal (Challenge Rift). In combination with the Kanai cube, you will receive strong bonuses from the beginning.
We present you the method with and without challenge portal. If you’ve already created your portal this week or just don’t feel like doing so, skip the first part and read on after the section on the Challenge Rift.
Get started with the challenge portal
Here’s how it starts: After the start of Season 23 in Diablo 3, you create a Season Hero. Enter the game with this character and then leave it again in the main menu.
Now go to the game settings and then click on the challenge portal option on the left. It is very important that you have chosen your hero of the season before entering the portal.
Note: This is only possible if you have already completed a large nephalem portal in Diablo 3. If you have not already done so with your account, skip this step.
What does that work for? The great reward for Challenge Rift will help you get off to a good start to the new season. To successfully complete the portal, you will receive:
- Reward Material (15 each)
- 35 death breath
- 475 blood splinters
- Manufacturing material
- plus 4.6 million gold
This is how it continues after the portal: The first part of the setup is now complete. Now it is a question of implementing this advantage in the game.
- Return to the Diablo 3 menu
- Now select adventure mode on the “Master” difficulty.
- Once in the game, open the reward bag that was awarded for the successful challenge portal; displayed on the interface
- Now grab the weapon from the Templar or another companion; it is always stronger than the starting weapon of your class.
- Optional:Now complete a boss bounty. Maghda, Zoltun Kull, Belial, or the Skeleton King are especially suited for this. If one of these bosses has a bounty, you must do it. Strong items are waiting for you immediately
- Then you go to Act 3 to unlock Kanai’s Cube. This is an important step in making effective use of the challenge portal step. This is how you unlock Kanai’s cube in Diablo 3 and use it correctly
Get a legendary item
Once you have unlocked the Kanai Cube, you will travel back to the city and visit your blacksmith there. You can then fully update it, which is not a problem for you thanks to the materials collected from Challenge Rift. Now you build a yellow armor or a yellow weapon for level 70. What you choose depends on your class.
In the following table we show you which articles could be useful for you depending on the class. The plan is for you to upgrade a yellow item in Kanai’s cube to a legendary item and then withdraw the legendary power with the Kanai cube and activate it on yourself. You can find out how to do this in the Kanai cube guide linked above.
So you carry the legendary power with you in the first levels.
class | Blood splinters | Cube update |
Barbarian | Bracers (lvl 1) | Powerful weapon 1H – 6/8 Powerful weapon 2H – 3/6 |
Crossed | Signal / Bracers (lvl 1) |
Hammer 2H – 6/8 Hammer 1H – 4/7 |
Demon Hunter | Bracers (lvl 1) | Dagger – 2/2 |
monk | Shoes / Bracers (lvl 1) |
Fist Weapon – 8/12 Daibo – 4/8 |
Necromancer | Gloves (level 1) – Rings = risky |
Direction 2H – 4/4 |
Witch doctor | Mojo (level 1), Voodoo Mask (level 34) |
Ceremonial Knife – 8/12 |
Wizard | Fountain (lvl 33) – Rings (lvl 28) = Risky |
Wand 1H – 6/10 |
Explanation of the numbers: The witch doctor has 12 ceremonial knives with an affix that can be removed from the skill, 8 of which are also worthwhile. Therefore 8/12
Depending on your chosen class, there are certain items at level 1 that you can trade at Kadala in town. You received blood slivers from the reward bag. At D3planner.com you can find out from which level which elements fall for you.
Level from 1 to 70: this is how it works
Do you have a legendary and strong power now? Then leveling will be even easier for you. If you skipped the step, now you can just start here.
Level 1 – 24
It’s Your Choice: Depending on your preferred playstyle, you can level up with Carnage bonuses in the Corridors of Agony up to level 1-3 or clear Nephalem Portals and complete them. Leveling up with carnage bonuses takes a bit of practice.
Solo players should advance quickly with the Carnage bonuses. Party players can do this up to level 30, but then they must switch to normal nephalem portals, because as a group they generally progress quickly.
With these methods you will level up to level 24.
- Every 8-10 levels you go to your blacksmith and try to make a more powerful weapon with it.
- Visit vendors in town at regular intervals. They could sell you rings or charms that offer “+ damage” as an affix. These are great for leveling
- If you loot an item from the head with a plug, it is better to put a red gem there, which will give you more experience points. If you have socketed weapons, red gemstones are also suitable here. They do more damage directly in the level phase.
During your game phase, you should always adjust the difficulty. Trash mobs should come off the mountain with 1-3 hits. If almost everything is a single hit for you, then the difficulty increases. If you need a lot more, you put the game on an easier difficulty.
Level 24 – 40
As of now, experience has shown that it is best to level up with Nephalem Portals.
- You must complete these portals as quickly as possible (so adjust the difficulty accordingly)
- Party Tip: Designate a player who will close the portal immediately after the rift boss dies. In the remaining 30 seconds until it closes, then go back to the party and everyone continues to kill monsters in the portal together.
Level 40 – 70
After reaching level 40, you teleport to the city and visit the mystic there. You are now fully developing this.
- Now craft a yellow 2H weapon for level 70 at the blacksmith.
You build as many of them until a weapon has a% affix (% chance to freeze, stun, etc.) - Did you get such a weapon?
No? Then go ahead and grow rugs and try again.
Yes? Then go to the mystic and pass the other secondary bonus (not the one with the%). You want to get a level reduction that is as close to 30 levels as possible - As soon as you can carry these weapons, equip them and increase the difficulty. At best, you’re already carrying a 70s weapon at level 40. Then set it to Torment 6 and slowly feel your way down if that’s still too difficult.
- With the high damage output of the 70s weapon, you should be making good progress by now
Levels up to 70: From now on you can level up through nephalem portals. With or without a gun from the 70s, this is the way to go now. With a 70 weapon it is better to be on a high level of torture, without a 70 weapon and then on a difficulty where you can quickly finish the portal.
Now grind the portals up to level 70.
What’s next after 70?
The setup you play now and start the journey of the season is entirely up to you. As a reward for Season Travel, you will receive 23 Starter Sets in Season 23, which play a significant role in the Great Rifts.
Pick a set you want to play and complete the season journey chapter by chapter. Then you open Haedrig gifts with the class you want to use the starter set from. With a bonus of 6, you can already play at the high rating levels and earn the keys to the big rifts on the normal rifts.
Now the routine can start properly.
