Desolate Walkthrough: All Quests of the Quartermaster

A detailed guide to freeing the island in the Quartermaster side quests

All Quests of the Intendant in the game Desolate are secondary and will not affect the ending of the game in any way, even if you do not go through them. Almost every subsequent quest will become available after increasing to a certain rank of this character’s reputation. By completing tasks, you will gain experience, which plays an important role in the passage of the story, and you will also be able to participate in the liberation of the Border from the forces of the New World, marauders and mutants.

Liberation. Cinema

The first quest will become available after the completion of the storyline mission “Subway” . You can take the task in the bunker of the Oasis camp. Go to the already familiar square F8, where the South Shore cinema is located (in one of the first quests here you had to find several parts for the repeater).

You can get here on foot, or jump into the anomalous ball (white), which is not far from the entrance to the camp. The second method will shorten the distance by about 400 meters. As soon as you find yourself nearby, the task log will update: you need to kill at least five madmen and plant a flag in a certain place.

In fact, there are much more madmen here, but if you set the flag and do not touch the rest, nothing bad will happen. To complete the quest and receive a reward – enter the two-story house nearby, go up to the second floor and chat with the Quartermaster.

Liberation. Reputation

As we said earlier, in order to continue liberating the Boundary, you will need to increase the Quartermaster’s Trust. It’s not difficult to do this: complete the daily quests to find provisions. Basically, all the necessary items can be purchased from the Merchant, or from the locals.

You will find rare items in the open world, in crates, bags, and closed containers. It should be borne in mind that food most often spawns in gas stoves and refrigerators of residential buildings. So, in just a few minutes, we completed three daily Quartermaster tasks at once, visiting one nearby location “Luch-2”.

In other cases, you need to deal with monsters, marauders or fighters of the New World. As soon as the trust rank reaches a certain level, the next quest will immediately become available. To save time, we recommend completing several tasks at once, then returning to the Quartermaster for new ones.

Liberation. Farm

Take the assignment and go outside. Use the red anomalous ball to quickly reach your destination in square E3. It is literally twenty meters from the newly-made camp. We have indicated this place on the map. If you use it, you will save about 300 meters of travel (in some cases, the savings will be more, since the red ball always moves to random places).

On the farm itself, there are only about ten madmen, who will not be difficult to deal with. Several Churaks were also seen in the area. Try to kill them one by one, as they can do serious damage in a crowd.

The next sub-item of the assignment will be the destruction of Alpha Dorg. This mutant has strong armor and the same amount of health. After that, go to the shed with a workbench and pick up a can of gasoline (to the left of the workbench).

Take it and burn two heaps of corpses on the farm grounds. One of them is located on the far left of the farm, in the yard of one of the houses. The other is on the road, just behind the fence. Place the flag and chat with the newly arrived Quartermaster.

Liberation. Luch-2

Now you need to return to square D8, not far from the liberated cinema. Alas, there are no abnormal balls or pneumo-lift in the vicinity. You will have to get there on foot. The path is not close, so we advise you to take several daily tasks at once to shoot marauders and mutants in order to save time for increasing the trust rank. By the way, if the Intendant, who is standing on the farm, does not have such quests at the moment, then they can be taken from him, only in the Oasis camp.

On the territory of “Luch-2” there are several buildings, in three of them you will find a red button, or “Decoy”. The last button is on the hill, in a building with a workbench.

Before setting the local flag, you have to play a little “hunter”. Find and kill two monsters on the territory of the complex: alpha-sapsi and alpha-grootch. If there should be no problems with the first, then the second will have to tinker a little. When you feel that you are losing ground, it is best to step back and prepare. You are not limited in time, so don’t rush.

When the monsters are killed, plant the flag and talk to the arrived Quartermaster. You will most likely have approximately 25 trust rank by this time. It remains to complete a few more daily tasks and you can safely proceed to the next quest.

Liberation. Gornyatsk

If you have repaired the nearest pneumatic lift in square D7 (next to the hospital), you can use it to shorten the path to Gornyatsk. The fact is that the same elevator is at the Krasnya Zarya open pit, and does not need to be repaired, as it is always active.

A gang of six marauders is located in the village. Although the mission only needs to kill four, you will have to get rid of all. Search the items of the gang leader and take the key card.

Then open the garage door and place the local flag. As usual, the quest can be completed by talking to the Quartermaster.

Liberation. Almychevo

The next zone is located very close to Gornyatsk, in square D3. It won’t be difficult to get here. This task is practically no different from the previous one: kill four marauders and free the hostages from the bunker. After that, you will need to deal with three more marauders, as well as set the local flag.

Liberation. Zalegorsk

If you took a task from the Quartermaster in Almychevo, you will have to get to Zalegorsk on foot. The village is located on the border of squares F3 and F4. There are not many opponents here: we counted eight different fighters of the New World. There is a one-story building to the right of the open garage, pick up the keycard on the floor here.

Go around the building and go a little straight, go down to the bunker, interact with the electronic lock. The bunker has only three doors, one of which is closed. In the rooms to the right and left, disconnect the emergency power supply (in both cases, press the red button). By these actions, you will open the last door and release the liaison officer, who will have to be killed.

He has 2000 points of armor and health, but if you use a shotgun, you can “fold” it literally with four shots to the head. In the same room there is a safe, opening which you will find several epic cannons and special ammunition. Place the flag and report the work done to the Quartermaster.

Liberation. Chernovsk

This quest is the last one available from the Quartermaster’s side quests. At this point, you should have enough of the necessary reputation to complete it. The desired village is in square B2, so you have to get here on foot. You will have to remove several NS fighters from your path, among which there will also be a flamethrower. Enter the building and find the transmitter on the first floor.

Interact with him, then exit the building and turn right. After a few tens of meters, you will find another bunker, near which there is a guard. He is not heavily armored, so we easily kill him and go down underground. Do not forget to take the key card from the inventory of the killed person before this.

In the room on the left, turn off the power and deal with the final boss: the base commander. In terms of health and armor, he slightly surpasses the liaison officer from the previous quest. Interact with another button on the control panel, set a flag and chat with the Quartermaster.
