There was an important step to take at the beginning and that now, perhaps, you have come across on the occasion of Demon’s Souls on PS5 , a remake that retains its essence intact and that does not offer an easy mode. The first area where the game begins is a camouflaged tutorial in which you will die, with a 99.9% chance, against the Vanguard boss that you will run into at the end of the road. After this, the game itself will begin.
First you will appear in the Nexus and from there to the Boletaria Palace, where you will have to charge the first boss (a very different one) to be able to exchange the souls of the enemies to level up. Until you defeat him, the only thing you can do with the souls is repair your equipment or buy more items from the blacksmith Boldwin.
And where is the boss? Just behind the huge door that can be seen on the bridge where we appear when we touch the first arch stone of the Boletaria Palace. But to open it, you will have to make a detour, starting with the path on the left and ending with the one on the right, where you will run into the lever that will open it.
You must arm yourself with patience at first, especially until you unlock the first shortcut to the door on the left, so as not to take so many detours later. The key point will be another bridge ahead where you will meet the red dragon, since it will not stop expelling fire. Calculate the time it takes to spit out another flare and run until you reach the lever.
With the huge door open, you just have to go back to the path of the beginning, following the new route or retracing your steps. Or if you are in a hurry, letting you die and thus appear in the archstone directly. The important thing to know is that the boss (Phalanx) is very vulnerable to fire , so have a bomb or resin on hand to apply fire to the weapon in hand.
As you can see, this enemy is a huge mass made up of small viscous enemies with shields and spears, so you must hit them from behind to hurt them … or use fire to speed up the process.
When you kill him, your body will be restored and upon returning to the Nexus, the Lady in Black will allow you to redeem souls to level up and make it easier.
