Cult of the Lamb Guide – How to Make a Follower Work

To keep your settlement thriving, your followers happy and believing in your sermons, you need to put in a lot of effort. You need to collect resources, look after your farm, build new structures, create various items… For one little Lamb, even if he is the leader of the cult, this is an impossible task. And here your wards will come to the rescue. In this guide, you will learn how to delegate work to them and free up time for more important things.

You can assign your followers a variety of jobs: chopping trees, mining stones, cooking, cleaning, cultivating the land, blessing materials, constructing buildings, praying at the Altar. To get a follower to do one of these tasks, approach them and, while interacting with them, click “Give Work”, and then select the desired option from the radial menu.

Keep in mind that some options are unlocked when you have the appropriate buildings. For example, until you build a kitchen, followers will not be able to cook their own food. To cultivate the land, you need a farm , to consecrate materials – a Sanctuary, and for cleaning – a Storage Room. To mine stones and trees, you do not need a sawmill and a quarry, but when your settlement runs out of trees and stones to collect, these buildings will allow you to continue farming resources.

If a follower cannot be forced to perform a particular task, there are several options. Either the required building is not available, or there is no work available at the moment (for example, the crafting queue is not assigned in the Sanctuary ) . In these cases, the required options will either be missing or inactive on the radial menu. Also, if you performed a ritual proclaiming a holiday, the cultists take a day off and do not work during the in-game day.

Some followers do not even have the “Give Work” option when interacting with them. These include elders, sick followers, and cultists with stupor, desecration, or dissent.

Elderly followers can be killed in any way (all of which are listed in our How to Kill a Follower guide ) and then resurrected. They will return to life as young people and can continue to work for the cult. Or they can be rejuvenated with a three-star dish called “Delicious Scrambled Eggs.”

But it is more difficult to deal with stupor and desecration – this needs to be treated, like sick cultists. Dissident followers can be set on the right path. We talk about all these problems in detail in our guides.
