Crossout guide – “Knights Riders” event

More about the new event, weapons, decorations, containers and the Knechte faction in the latest Crossout update

On July 27, 2017, Crossout was marked by the launch of a completely new event called “Knights Riders” for most gamers. At the same time, after a little bit of “messing around” on the Internet, after asking for information on the forums, I managed to find out – it turns out that the Knechts have already appeared in the game world and should be familiar to everyone who participated in the CBT (unfortunately, your humble servant liked the game already on the OBT) …

What is the essence of the event?

Event is a term that refers to some kind of temporary event / event in the game that can be dedicated to anything. And if in some games the event implies the passage of completely new missions, then in this case it is associated, rather, with the possibility of obtaining new weapons, decor and paint.

But first things first. The Bollards are a unique faction available in Crossout on a temporary basis. Already on August 14, they will continue their wanderings through the wasteland, but they will certainly return to us with even more unique and interesting weapons, as in this case.

For the duration of the event, you get the following features:

  • Use the “Knecht” workbench.
  • Earn thalers in regular PvP missions, brawls and clan battles – a unique monetary unit for Knechte.

Subsequently, using the thalers earned, you can craft legendary Steel Cavalry containers at the Knechte workbench. Moreover, you can create as many of them as your heart desires.

The ability to craft a container “Steel Cavalry”

How do I get thalers?

There are three ways to get thalers:

  1. You will receive one Thaler for winning a battle. Not a lot, but you will still take part in PvP. Of course, I would like them to be in PvE raids as well, but do not forget – the amount of gasoline is limited, due to the latest “cuts” for the benefit of economic recovery, now it is no longer so easy to get it.
  2. For completing one of the daily challenges, you can get 100 thalers. Taking into account the cost of the container, you can craft it every three days.
  3. Thalers can be bought in the market – 10 or 100 pieces each. At the time of this writing, 10 thalers were worth 4.39 coins, while a hundred was 42.87 coins. You yourself understand that it is more profitable to buy 100 coins at a time, but everything can change.

Note . Given the specifics of the challenges in the game, you can see two or even three thaler quests per day. But this will happen for one simple reason – the tasks not completed in the previous days accumulate up to three days. If you didn’t complete the quest yesterday, then today you will see two tests for thalers, but if you didn’t do it yesterday and the day before yesterday, then there will be three of these back tests at once.

More about crafting a Knechte container

The craft of one Steel Cavalry container requires not only 300 thalers, but also 1500 scrap metal and 50 copper.

Copper is earned in raids, but thalers are not intended for them. It is better to carry out light raids – for example, for one escort of the convoy, if you are active, you can get seven to nine sheets of copper. This means that, on average, it will take six to seven battles to collect copper per container. On the other hand, for about 14 coins, you can now buy 100 sheets of copper on the market for two containers.

Scrap metal is awarded for winning the PvP missions “For a machine gun!”, “For a shotgun!”, “For a cockpit!”, “For a gun!” and “Behind the wheels!” in the amount of 15 units. In order to accumulate 1500 scrap metal, you will need to take part in 100 victorious battles. Three thousand scrap is required for two containers, which means that there should already be 200 such battles.

Completing 200 victorious battles while the thalers are being collected also means that you will accumulate another 200 additional thalers. We go to the market and see that the cost of 100 thalers is about 42-43 coins (perhaps this price tag will soon fall even lower). You have earned an additional 80 coins that can be spent on buying 1000 sheets of scrap metal.

One of two new rare ornaments – Armored Skull

On the other hand, if you spend 130 victorious battles, earning 130 thalers and 1950 scrap metal, then, with rough estimates, you can buy the necessary 1050 scrap units for these additional coins. Hence the conclusion – it is absolutely not necessary to win all 100 times in battle in order to collect 1500 units of scrap, since you can buy it in addition by selling thalers.

Do not rush to swear that the admins “force” you to go through both raids and PvP missions to collect copper in some, and scrap metal in others. The 100 Thaler Daily Challenge will be tied to raids or PvP missions. In the case of PvE, you simultaneously collect copper and pass the challenge, thereby earning thalers. And, by the way, taking into account the calculations above, just seven to eight raids (for which you can get the required 50 units of copper) will be enough for you to complete one such test.

In terms of PvP, the challenge can also be mission-related, apart from the fact that you get one thaler per victory and 15 pieces of scrap metal in the first five modes. Also, do not forget about the most important thing – in all this, in PvE raids and PvP missions, you take part every day! Those. in this event, no one distracts you from your usual actions.

Finally, do not forget that for challenges you get not just 100 thalers, but in addition, usually 100 units of scrap metal. In parallel, you can, as usual, go through the seasons, earning additional scrap. Excess scrap or copper, if any, can be sold.

What can be obtained from the container

First, let’s list the possible rewards:

  • One of four cans of paint.
  • Legendary KP-17 Tsunami turret cannon.
  • Epic crossbow “Shtyr-1”.
  • The epic wheeled drone “Fuze”.
  • Epic decorative horn “Hunting Horn”.
  • Rare shotgun KP2 “Goblin”.
  • Rare wheels from the carriage – ordinary and swivel.
  • Rare decoration “Armored Skull”.
  • Rare decoration “Kisten”.

Contents of the Knechte container

The chance of dropping a legendary part is small, an epic one – medium, a rare one – high. You can calculate the odds according to the theory of relativity, but in this case it is irrelevant – it is one thing if the probability of each of all the details were the same, but they are all different in rarity.

Let’s take a look at each subject in detail.

New weapon

Legendary tower cannon KP-17 “Tsunami”

New weapon “Tsunami”

The drop of this cannon to date will bring you at least 9000 coins in terms of a quick sale. The price tag for Tsunami itself is much higher: at the time of this writing, four people on the market were offering the weapon for at least 14,900 coins.

First, let’s talk about the unique features of the weapon. If you stop and wait five seconds, then after this time the damage of the weapon will increase by 20%. This effect stacks up to three times, which means that in the case of 15 seconds spent in a stationary state, the damage of “Tsunami” will be increased by 60%.

A similar skill is also available on the Mammoth, but in the case of it, no one forces you to stand still – the damage is summed up with each next hit on the target up to three times the same 20% and is lost, either in case of a miss, or upon expiration 10 Seconds.

TTX :

  • Damage – 676 units (for comparison, the “Mammoth” – 966 points).
  • Damage at the maximum bonus is 1081.6 units.
  • Cooldown is seven seconds.
  • Explosion impulse – 15,000.
  • Optimal range – 500
  • The maximum range is 800.
  • Power points – 1950, like the Mammoth.
  • Energy is six units.
  • Structure – 746 points.

My personal opinion is that “Mammoth” still looks more preferable than “Tsunami”, and its cost, already assembled, is several times less. But here you need to look at what is more pleasant for you – to stand still and accumulate a bonus, or you are nimble enough to hit the target three times and do it as quickly as possible.

The epic wheeled drone “Fuze”

New wheeled drone “Zapal”

Zapal’s quick sell price was 1,061 coins, while the usual six-bid price tag was around 2,800 coins.

The peculiarity of this drone is due to the fact that it acts on the principle of kamikaze – it explodes when it approaches the target.

TTX :

  • Damage – 900 units.
  • Power points – 940, like the epic Rocket Turret and Rocket Drone.
  • Four launches.
  • Explosion radius – 25.
  • Deployment time is two seconds.
  • Durability – 144 units.
  • Energy – four units (like the epic Rocket Turret and Rocket Drone).

As a result, we now have the opportunity to get quite interesting and annoying weapons for opponents.

Epic crossbow “Shtyr-1”

New weapon, crossbow “Shtyr”

The quick sale price of the Pin was 2,300 coins, while the usual three-bid price tag was around 4,000 coins.

It must be said that this crossbow will become an even more annoying weapon than the Fuse drones. And here, first of all, you need to pay attention not to damage or firing range, but to the impulse of the explosion. But let’s first list the performance characteristics!

TTX :

  • Damage – 161.62 units.
  • Cooldown – 2.8 seconds.
  • The length of the burst is one shot.
  • The optimal and max ranges are 200 and 400, respectively.
  • Explosion impulse – 25000 !!!
  • Power points – 940.
  • Energy is four.
  • Ammunition – 18.

Let’s take the Judge 76mm gun with 12000 impulse. It takes five energy units to install, while one crossbow consumes four energy and gives out 25000 impulse.

Thus, having 12 energy, you will be able to use only two “Judge” weapons and get an impulse of 24000. But for them it also becomes possible to place three crossbows at once with a total impulse of 75000. Just think about this value! Of course, the weapon is worthwhile. Use it to flip over small opponents.

Believe me, players who use several “Pivot” crossbows will bring victory to their team more than once.

The only drawback can be called the fact that crossbows are very easy to shoot because of their rather massive dimensions, even despite the strength that is decent for such a weapon (273 units).

Rare shotgun KP2 “Goblin”

Unique shotgun “Goblin” with contact damage

The Goblin’s quick sell price was 84 coins, and the usual 90-offer price tag was around 100 coins.

A unique shotgun that combines the functions of both firearms and ramming weapons. Install it on the front of the car, shoot enemies at close range and at the same time try to ram them into the open parts of the cockpit. An additional feature is resistance to contact damage. Those. when you ram other machines with the “Goblin”, then the shotgun itself will not lose in the structure.

TTX :

  • Damage – 20.74 pts.
  • Rate of fire – 220.
  • Impulse to hit – 138.
  • DPS – about 21.88 units / sec.
  • The ramming damage rate is two.
  • Power points – 370 (for comparison, for “Hammer” and “Hearth” this parameter is 555 points, but “Goblin” is a course, non-rotatable weapon).
  • The queue length is four units.
  • Cooldown (cooling) – 2.6 seconds.
  • Structure (strength) – 120.
  • Energy – two units (one less than Hearth and Sledgehammer).

Compared to shotguns of the same rarity, the “Goblin” looks quite attractive and, in some respects, even powerful, if you close your eyes to its immobility. Imagine building a high-energy car and sticking these shotguns around it with all of them in the same direction.

What to buy and what to knock out

Of course, there is no point in buying Tsunami. But let’s first calculate the cost of crafting one container. So, it requires 300 thalers, 1500 scrap metal and 50 copper. On average, 300 thalers will cost you 120 coins, 1500 scrap – 120 coins and 50 units of copper – six to seven coins. As a result, we have approximately 250 coins.

This means that you can craft a container and try to knock out the desired part, or instead of a container, sell the collected resources for 250 coins. By the way, the cost of containers on the market has already rushed to this numerical value and at the time of this writing was 280 coins.

Now, at the cost of each item that can drop from the container:

  1. Hunting horn – 925 coins.
  2. KP-17 Tsunami – 15,000 coins.
  3. Crossbow “Shtyr-1” – 4000 coins.
  4. Drone “Zapal” – 2700 coins.
  5. CP2 “Goblin” – 90-100 coins.
  6. Carriage wheels – 35-60 coins.
  7. Ornament “Armored Skull” – 30 coins.
  8. Decoration “Kisten” – 40-45 coins.
  9. “Plate Steel” paint – 100 coins.
  10. Paint “Teutonic Ribbon” – 60 coins.
  11. Paint “Teutonic Cross” – 80 coins.
  12. Paint “Teutonic Eagle” – 90 coins.

Nine of the 13 possible items dropped from the Knechte container are at a cost lower than crafting the container itself. There is no point in knocking out the hunting horn at all, since the same bonus can be obtained from much less expensive epic decor items.

Hunting horn

Otherwise, Zapal costs 11 containers on the market, Shtyr – 16, and Tsunami – 60. Decide for yourself how it is easier for you in the case of Shtyr and Zapal – to try to knock them out of the containers or collect them 2700 and 4000 coins, respectively.

Outcome

What is positive about this event? First, it gives you an additional earning opportunity. Even if you are not interested in everything that can be knocked out of containers and, moreover, bought on the market, it still makes sense to go through tests, participate in raids and PvP missions, which you did before – in addition to the usual rewards, you will earn thalers that can later be sold on the market.

The second point – we can say with confidence that at least three of the four guns seem to be very, very interesting. It’s too early to draw any conclusions about Tsunami, but the Crossbow “Pin” and the “Goblin” shotgun, at least, gave us a new concept and new opportunities in the game. So I recommend that you hurry up!

If you like to trade and speculate, then this is your chance – wait for favorable prices on the market, buy new weapons in some batches, because after the end of the event, the possibility of obtaining thalers will disappear. If you wait a little longer, then the weapon will gradually disappear from the market. And it is unlikely that it will be possible to craft it on the workbenches of the five ordinary factions!
