Cheat codes for Dragon Age: Origins
Some of the cheats below also work with the Dragon Age: Awakenings expansion.
Edit the daorigins.exe shortcut.
(This will not work with DAOriginsLauncher.exe)
- Make a shortcut to the daorigins.exe file – it should be saved in the ” C:\Program Files\Dragon Age\bin_ship” folder, but depending on the OS, or your original installation might be in a different folder (try looking in the Program File folder ( x86)). You can use Windows search to find daorigins.exe
- Right click the shortcut and add -enabledeveloperconsoleto the end of the target. (IMPORTANT – the minus sign must be included or it won’t work!)
It should look something like this:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Dragon Age\bin_ship\daorigins.exe” -enabledeveloperconsole
Or
C:\Program Files\Dragon Age\bin_ship\daorigins.exe” -enabledeveloperconsole
Note :
If you have there are quotes around “daorigins.exe”, the –enable… option must be placed after the quotes.
Edit keybinding.ini.
(This file controls most of what happens in the game, so be very careful when editing it.)
Locate the keybindings.ini file , right-click and choose Edit .
Find the line:
OpenConsole_0 = Keyboard::Button_Grave ” or something similar.
and change it to
OpenConsole_0 = Keyboard::Button_Z ” (X is the key I used since it’s not used in the game).
