A horse is Jin’s best friend in Ghost of Tsushima, but that doesn’t mean he can’t have more best friends. The player’s trusty steed is great for moving quickly around the map and avoiding combat from hostile human and animal enemies. With more horses to choose from at the start of the game, it’s natural to wonder if there are more samurai steeds waiting to be discovered. Here is your answer to “Can you get more horses in Ghost of Tsushima?”
Can you get more horses in Ghost of Tsushima?
Yes, you can get more horses in Ghost of Tsushima in the form of temporary mounts, but you can only have one main horse.
Temporary supports can be found all over the open world. It is very likely that you will run into them when the enemies ride them into battle. Once you have dealt with their old knight, you can run towards them and hit “R2” to drive. You can then keep this horse until you remember your main horse or until you reload a save.
Your main horse is the horse you choose throughout the story. This is a samurai horse, which makes it more suited to Jin than the other horses in the game. Although you may get other temporary horses, you will always be able to get your main horse back by whistling.
Horses don’t have different or similar stats, so you don’t need to look for upgrades for horses. The horse you get at the start moves faster than any other horse and has infinite health, which means it can’t die during the game.
