Is iOS 6 a verdict?
I have iOS 6.1.3 installed on my iPhone 4s . Those who have found those distant times know that this system was the last major version of the apple system, which had a skeuomorphic design. And not only this is its advantage. iOS 6 had meager functionality, but everything worked without any particular complaints. Lags and brakes appeared later – iOS 6 is not about that at all. Even after 8 years, the system does not look old and wretched.
And at least many of the standard apps run faster than newer iPhones. But there are also some nuances. For example, it is simply impossible to log into your Apple ID account. It’s all about two-factor authentication, which is not supported on iOS 6. And for some time now it is impossible to turn it off. Because of this, the entire App Store is unavailable.
Although in fairness it should be noted that almost nothing can be downloaded from there anyway. Developers do not like such old systems and do not support previous versions of programs. But no one forbids “hacking” a smartphone and installing programs in manual mode. Not so convenient, but it becomes possible to install a truly unique software.

Is it possible to use iPhone 4S without severe pain? Yes, but with nuances. There is a camera, but its capabilities will obviously not be enough. Even in simple scenes with good light, the smartphone produces mediocre pictures. The front module is even worse. But the speaker is not bad. It is quite loud and will work for more than just ringtones.
The A5 processor clearly does not pull even a middling one. It is able to run standard applications and some old programs. It is clear that multitasking is out of the question. The smartphone has only 512 MB of RAM, which is enough only for playing music in the background. But just the same in this quality, the iPhone 4S will cope well with the assigned tasks. A dialer, a “slipper”, a second phone – it’s all about him.
