Best characters for Cheetah in Honkai: Star Rail

Which characters are ideally combined in the same team with the Cheetah

Honkai: Star Rail has a lot of 4-5 star damage dealers, but no squad can last forever without support heroes. You can use the best DPS to destroy enemies, but without support, they will be vulnerable and can “fly off” in literally 1-2 turns.

If you have a Cheetah on your team, this shouldn’t be a problem. This is the best shield in the game! While he can be made into a damage dealer, he performs best as a support character. He is perfect for a team that has strong (in terms of damage) but vulnerable fighters.

Asta

Asta is great for buffing allies. It can also be used to weaken enemies that are vulnerable to fire damage. The only problem is that without a healer or shield on the team, killing her isn’t that hard. Even though there is an increase in protection from a bonus ability, this will not help with strong enemies.

So, you need to provide protection for the speed buffer, especially if there is a full-fledged damage dealer that depends on it. That’s why the Cheetah is the perfect companion for Asta, who will keep the whole squad alive with his shields. The good news is that Asta and Cheetah deal two different damage, which makes the team more diverse. Both Asta and Cheetah increase the squad’s survivability and combat capability.

Sampo

Sampo is a good damage dealer that inflicts debuffs on enemies in parallel (being a character on the path of Nothingness). If you are looking for a multi-purpose wind damage character that can additionally weaken enemies for 2 turns, Sampo is the best option. Despite its reliability in terms of destroying and weakening opponents, there are certain disadvantages associated with its survivability.

If the team has a Cheetah, you can safely put Sampo in it, which will be protected by powerful shields. The best thing about Cheetah’s ultimate is that it shields all allies, so avoid restrictions like Mart-7 (only shields one ally at a time). Therefore, even if you encounter an enemy that attacks your entire squad at once, Sampo and the rest of the allies will be reliably protected.

Serval

Serval and Cheetah are two inseparable characters. According to lore, as a child, Serval constantly defeated the Cheetah in training, and this is not surprising, given the fact that she is capable of inflicting serious damage to several targets at once.

But it is necessary to include Serval in the detachment with the Cheetah not only for this reason. The Serval will benefit from the shields of the Cheetah as it has a weak defense that makes itself felt during the fight against bosses and tanks.

With his skill, Serval deals electric damage to several enemies at once, and his ult shocks enemies at once for 2 turns. Although she is strong on her own, she still needs someone to watch her back.

Dan Heng

Dan Heng is a free character that deals wind damage to a single target. He is great at taking down bosses, especially if they are vulnerable to wind. Most of the traces are focused on increasing the damage of his attacks, so it remains to complement these advantages with additional healing or shields.

If Dan Heng is your only damage dealer, it’s important to put a healer or shield on him. While the free Mart-7 can be used to protect Dan, Cheetah is a better option, casting a stronger shield, with the ability to resurrect after the first fatal blow.

Arlan

There are characters that get stronger based on their current health. Arlan is the brightest representative of this category. What is Arlan doing with the Path of Destruction on this team, you might ask? After all, the characters of the Path of Destruction are not durable and are used situationally. He is quite strong, but in order to deal high damage, you will have to keep Arlan’s health bar low.

Therefore, in the case of Arlan, using a healer is not the best option. Cheetah is another matter! It will not heal Arlan, but will plant a powerful shield that will protect him from incoming damage and keep his health bar low. In general, Arlan and Cheetah show positive synergy, with Arlan getting the most benefit, who, thanks to Cheetah’s shields, can fight with low health and deal additional damage.

Yanqing

If you have this five-star damage dealer, you should know that Yanqing is best fought with a shield to activate his Soulsteel passive. It increases Yanqing’s Critical Strike Chance and Critical Damage, and adds status resistance. You can activate a passive ability with a skill for 1 turn. But the effect ends as soon as the character takes damage.

Thus, healers will not help Yanqing, since he cannot take any damage at all for a health bar. Instead, you need to use March 7, or better yet, Cheetah. Make sure to add Yanqing March 7 to the team until you’ve knocked out the Cheetah, but once that happens, the choice in favor of this Silvermane Guardian is obvious!
