Tips for obtaining the wishes of the wise
Almost all chests containing Wills of the Wise must be obtained by either defeating certain powerful enemies , solving a puzzle , or finding a way to fly to a certain, fairly high island.
To make it easier for you to reach each chest, we recommend that you take these tips into account before starting your search:
- It is recommended that you first unlock all the watchtowerson the surface since from these you can gain a lot of height and reach some islands where there are wills of the wise.
- Also try to improve Link’s stamina a lotto fly with the paraglider for longer; even consider improving it to the maximum possible before going all out.
- Remember that you can bring elixirs or invigorating foodwith you in case you need extra stamina while flying with the paraglider.
- It is also highly advisable to already have the Pact of Tureli, the Sage of the Wind, in order to be able to fly with the parasail further and faster towards certain islands thanks to its special power; it is unlocked in the main story of the Orni village .
What is the use of the wills of the wise?
As we briefly mentioned at the beginning of this guide, the Will of the Wise is an important type of item that appears in Tears of the Kingdom and works as a wish to strengthen our bond with one of the Wise .
In this game, as you progress through the main story quests related to the phenomena of the four regions of Hyrule (the Orni, the Zora, the Goron and the Gerudo), you unlock pacts with different sages who accompany you on your adventure. These pacts allow you to summon an avatar of each sage and unleash a different power every few seconds.
- The power of the sages can be enhanced on the Goddess effigiesby using the wills of the sages we obtain from Heaven.
- Similar to how luminous orbs work to increase life and resistance, players can deliver 4 at a time to the effigies.
- For every 4 wills you can strengthen your bondwith one of the sage powers you have already unlocked.
As you increase your bond with one of the sages, their power will increase to become stronger . Since there are 20 wills in total and 5 sage pacts, you can increase each sage’s bond only once in the game. As you improve your bond with a character, the pact becomes an “Eternal Pact.” Of course, it’s up to you to decide which sage you want to invest your willpower into first.
