The PlayStation 3 is still a popular choice among previous generation console users. In competition with XBOX, developers are trying to patch possible security holes that lead to a number of problems.
710102 – DNS server error. It can occur when DHCP is enabled on the set-top box, if the DHCP and DNS servers are access points (ADSL, VPN, WiFi modems and routers) of the D-link DSL G-604T type. If you distribute the addresses with pens, then the problem disappears. If for some reason this is not possible, running an Internet connection test helps (sometimes it only works the second time).
80010001 – Serious error – the ability to run games is disabled. A possible reason is a conflict between Bluetooth devices.
80010006 – An error occurred during the start operation
80010007 – An error occurred during the start operation
80010009 – Set up your headset (see instructions).
80010014– This error sometimes occurs after you bought a game from the PS Store and tried to download it. Go to Downloads and try downloading it again.
80010017 – Unable to launch game from Blu-ray Disc.
80010036 – An error occurred during deletion.
8001050B – Hard drive demo won’t run when Blu-ray disc is inserted – cause unknown.
8001050D – An error occurred during the start operation; PS3 game swapped using the eject function and then play pressed quickly – PS3 game inserted again.
80010510 – Hard drive game won’t launch – cause unknown.
80010514“Congratulations, you bought a botched disc. If you are sure of the quality of the disk, then the BR drive has failed. My condolences.
80010516 – An error occurred during the start operation; PS1 game swapped using the eject function and then play pressed quickly, PS1 game inserted again
80023017 – PSN is down, please reconnect later.
80023102 – Error while replenishing the balance, the reason is not clear.
80028801 – The 1.8 update allows the PS3 to play .ts, .m2t and .m2ts to play natively, no conversion needed. Just change the extension to .mpg and play
8002311A – Failed to redeem codes.
8002880C– Starting with firmware 2.10, the set-top box supports DivX video files, but not all. It looks like you tried to play one of these unsupported files.
80028818 – Same as error 80028801
80028EA5 – Unknown. User cannot connect to PS3 network.
80028EA6 – Connection error. Possible Proxy error power cord. Then shut off your modem/router, for about 5 mintues, then turn the modem back up first and let it sync, then turn the router back on (if using one) and let it sycn. Reconnect your power cable and flip the back swtich up again. Then make a new network connection.
80028EA8 – The Internet connection you are using is being filtered. Contact your provider for clarification.
80028F08— The data is corrupted. Maybe the hard drive is failing. It is best to contact the service in such a situation. You can try to format the hard one yourself.
80028F10 – The main problem of all owners of conventional (without HDMI input) TVs. An entire chapter will soon be devoted to this error. Treatment: for games on discs – use an exploit in Resistance (during the game, press pause, change the disc and press “Save and exit”) or buy an HD TV, for games downloaded from the Internet – just buy an HD TV.
80028F17 – PS2 disc boot error, An error occurred during the start operation; PS2 game swapped using the eject function and then play pressed quickly — Backup PS2 game inserted again.
80028F18– PS2 disc error, unsupported disc; eg. Utility discs, BB discs, IQ Remix game etc. ode).
80028F19 – PS2 disc error, fsck; the internal PS2 disk got corrupted and I guess that you can use HDD utility disc to fix it.
80028F1A – PS2 disc error, invalbnnetcfg; network config error.
80029023 – Key exchange timeout (happens when connecting).
80029024 – Timeout when obtaining an IP address, check that there is a working DHCP server on the network.
80029301 – An error occurred during the delete operation (attempting to delete some PS2 homebrew from virtual memory card).
80029513 – Occurs when starting a game from the HDD. The reason is that you deleted the user who bought this game.
80029516– Sign in to PLAYSTATION-Network (needed for some games or Ps3 processes – have to sign in to use them).
80029564 – The downloaded game cannot be installed, the reason is unknown. Try downloading it again.
80029945 – Movies from BD-r discs cannot be played.
80029946 – You are trying to play a burnt NTSC dual layer DVD on a PAL system. A workaround is to copy the files to the set-top box using a media server, such as TVersity.
80029C55 – Error updating from storage media (flash drives). Before copying the .PUP firmware file to the media, you need to format it, disconnect all USB devices from the console, except for the controller, in order to avoid this error.
80029C68– The files are corrupted, most often this happens on bad flash drives.
8002A10D – Unable to add friend or use chat – cause unknown.
8002A220 – Problems with the PSN network. Reboot the console and wait for the restoration of normal operation.
8002A4A6 – Some games cannot be played online. Such a problem was observed with the game Go Puzzle.
8002A515 – Error connecting to PSN – cause unknown.
8002A548 – Unable to remain logged in – either to game or server.
8002A705 – Unable to connect to server/host. Check router port configuration.
8002A71A – Possible NAT error: You can connect to the game server, but you can’t play.
8002AA08Some stupid PSN bug. It looks like the problem is not with you, but with the Sony servers. More details in the topic “Error 8002AA08”.
8002AD23 – Found to be related to a connection issue. Check to make sure firewall is off to see if that helps. (possibly network/update error).
8002AE1D – Another network error. A possible solution is to set the following DNS in the settings of the set-top box: the main one is 208.67.222.222, the additional one is 208.67.220.220.
8002B241 – Audio is not transmitted over DVI.
8002F029 – Firmware update problem. You may have downloaded a broken/left file.
8002F147 – Unable to update firmware via internet. Possible solutions: disable proxy, try not to use firewall, disable UnuP support.
8002F14E – This is a serious error. During the firmware of the console, something went wrong and now you have a brick (brick) and not a prefix. Only for service.
8002F994 – Too many people are downloading the firmware update. Wait a while and try again.
8002F997 – Failed to update the firmware from the USB flash drive.
80030002 – An error occurred during the download operation.
8003041F – An error occurred during a download operation (using media server).
8003051E – The game will not be saved. Game will not save.
80030920 – An error occurred while copying. The file may be corrupted or you don’t have enough memory (?), try copying from another source.
80031150— The system settings have not been saved. A possible reason is corrupted system information. Press X to restore default settings. Possible blue screen: “Setting information is corrupted”.
80031601 – An error occurred while creating an account.
8013013D – “A connection error has occurred” – May be to do with the SSID of the Router or signal strength if the connection drops. Putting the PS3 into Demilitarized zone may help. Otherwise check WPA key PS3 can’t handle WPA2 only WPA or none.
8013013E – WEP key failed, please change the key to numbers only and try again or use WPA encryption. If all else fails, disable encryption.
80130203– PS3 connects to the Internet, but not to the local network. This usually means that the set-top box can connect to the Internet, but cannot access PSN because not all ports are open (see the list of ports in use).
80130301 – The set-top box does not want to connect to PSN. Treatment: take any game with online download it (for example, Resistance), enter the multiplayer, the message “No connection to the Internet” will pop up, select “Connect” and after a couple of seconds you will connect to the network.
8013030F – Access point not found.
8013030F – Check Router Page, SSID Broadcasting possibly off.

80710016 – PSN is currently disabled, please try again later.
80710A06 – An error occurred during the install operation (error when downloading game from PSN – network error occurred).
80710092– An error occurred, your PSN session was terminated. The likely cause is a connection timeout or a temporary communication failure. It can occur when DHCP is enabled on the set-top box, if the DHCP and DNS servers are access points (ADSL, VPN, WiFi modems and routers) of the D-link DSL G-604T type. If you distribute the addresses with pens, then the problem disappears. If for some reason this is not possible, running an Internet connection test helps (sometimes it only works the second time).
80710101 – Connection error.
80710102– IP Address Conflict: There is a device on your local network with the same IP address as your PS3. Try changing the address of the set-top box or find this device and change the IP address there. It is also possible that the set-top box cannot connect to the router. Try rebooting the router: turn off and after a few seconds turn on the power. Details in the topic “Error 80710102”.
80710103 – Error related to DNS and NAT type. It’s hard to log into PSN, and background downloads don’t work at all. For some, it disappears on its own over time, and some solved this problem by changing all network settings from auto to manual.
80710104 – There may be a problem with your router. Try rebooting the router: turn off and after a few seconds turn on the power.
807101FF – An error occurred during communication with the server. This is a DNS error.
80710541 – Server connection timeout. Press the “X” button to repair and restore default.
80710723 – Possible port error (see list of ports in use) or add PS3 to Demilitarized zone.
80710B23 – PSN is unavailable, possibly maintenance work or too many users. Try later.
80710B24 – Also some kind of problem on the part of PSN, details in the topic “I can not register on PSN”.
80710D23 – Completely disconnect the console from electricity for half an hour. Overheat?
80711008 – Problem with configuring the router. Food for thought can be found in the topic “Error 80711008”.
81019002 – Error copying save files.
Reset types:
* Pressing the power button for 5 seconds is to restore the video output settings and OS boot. The video will be output via the normal component output (this cable is included with the set-top box), and the regular PS3 OS (not “Other OS”) will be loaded.
* Restore default settings is to restore default settings 🙂
* Restore PS3 system is a hard reset. Only the firmware version and, like, users are saved. But no content is saved.
Sound notification:
* 1 beep – System shut down normally.
* 2 beeps – the system shut down normally, but there is a drive left inside.
* 3 beeps – an error has occurred, data loss is possible.
