We review all the perks available in Fallout 4’s Endurance category and rank them from worst to best. Enhance your survival skills in Fallout 4 with the all-new Resistance perks.
As a good role-playing game, Fallout 4 incorporates a well-developed progression system, which is based on leveling up and unlocking skills. In the game, these are known as extras , and they are divided into several categories. At the conclusion of the game’s prologue, you can allocate 21 points into the seven SPECIAL categories , which are Strength, Stamina, Agility, Charisma, Perception, Intelligence, and Luck .
Below, we’re going over all of the perks available in Fallout 4’s Endurance category , ranking them from worst to best.
Radiation resistant
As the name suggests, the Radiation Resistant perk makes your character less susceptible to radiation damage. It’s unlocked at level 6 , and you can upgrade it up to three ranks .
At level 1, it gives you +10 radiation resistance , while at the second rank it increases to +20 . At maximum level, your character will have +30 , so it will be more difficult for him to become contaminated by environmental radiation.
Cannibal
The most disturbing perk in Fallout 4, which turns you into a bloodthirsty cannibal. In other words, you can eat human flesh to regain health , just like animal flesh.
It is obtained at level 8 , and has a maximum of three ranks . Level 1 only allows you to eat human flesh, but subsequent ranks turn you into a ghoul-eating cannibal or even a super mutant.
Necrophage
In Fallout 4, you can’t actually become a ghoul (you can in Fallout 76, Season 17), but you can benefit from being one on the inside. Unlocking the Ghoul perk, which is available at level 9 and has three ranks , can give you some great advantages.
Basically, the radiation effects will cause you to regain health. And be careful, because rank 3 will make some wild ghouls friendly to you … albeit randomly.
Lead belly
A very useful extra, considering that much of the food in the Commonwealth is contaminated. It is unlocked at level 2 , and has three ranks .
Lead Belly is amazing, because it reduces the level of radiation you get when you consume food or drink (that is not purified, of course). At the highest range, any food or drink will not cause any radiation.
Water
It only has two ranks, but it’s a great perk that will come in handy when exploring in Fallout 4. It’s unlocked at level 5 , and makes you the Commonwealth’s greatest water ally.
At rank 1, your character will suffer less radiation effects while swimming, and at rank 2 your character will be able to hide (with 100% effectiveness) from any enemy or NPC underwater.
Vitality
If your combat strategy in Fallout 4 is to exhaust your opponents, you should get the Vitality perk. It’s unlocked at level 3 , and can be upgraded up to three ranks . It will turn you into a bullet sponge… literally.
At the first rank, you’ll get +20 health points, which doubles at rank 2 of the perk. At the third and final rank, you’ll even slowly regain lost health .
Hardness
One of the Fallout 4 perks with the most ranks. You get it as standard ( level 1 ), and it can be upgraded up to five ranks . It affects your resistance to enemy attacks or accidental falls.
Each rank increases your resistance to damage, from ten points (rank 1) to an additional 50 points at the fifth and final rank.
Drug resistant
The Drug Resistant perk has only two upgrade ranks, and is unlocked at level 4. It relates to your character’s resistance to the use of drugs, such as Med-X, Rad-X, Mentats, Psycho, or Jet.
Adamantium skeleton
If you apply the Adamantium Skeleton perks, your character will be as tough as Wolverine from the X-Men. It is obtained at level 7 , and can be upgraded up to three ranks .
The Adamantine Skeleton perk is related to the possibility of limb damage or mutilation. At rank 3, your character will be so strong that they cannot be damaged or lose a limb in combat.
Solar
The best Stamina perk in Fallout 4, and this time it’s the last one you can get. You only get it when you reach level 10 (maximum) , and you can upgrade it up to three ranks.
The Solar perk gives you +2 Strength and Toughness between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM (in-game), while at the next two ranks, the sun regenerates your health and any damage you’ve taken .
