There are several types of collectibles in A Plague Tale: Requiem , and flowers are one of them. Fans of the original will remember that Amicia and Hugo collected flowers back in the first game. They can be found in various locations, and then used as decorations (Amicia can weave flowers into her hair).
There are 5 flowers in the game, including syngonium, chamomile, gentian, anemone, and carnation. Collecting all the flowers will give you the Herbalist achievement.
Even three years after the release of the first part (half a year for the heroes), Hugo’s passion for flowers has not faded, as confirmed by the story of A Plague Tale: Requiem. In the sequel from Asobo Studios, you will continue to collect flowers as Amicia and Hugo, traveling through the war-torn land of Provence. To make things easier, we have prepared a guide that covers all the flower locations in A Plague Tale: Requiem.
Whenever you pick up a flower, Amicia sticks it in her hair. You can also switch between the flowers you’ve collected and leave any other one in your hair by going to the “Hugo’s Collection” tab in the pause menu. Picking a flower isn’t that hard. The main difficulties are related to finding them, especially since they appear very rarely in the game. We continue our guide to all the flowers in A Plague Tale: Requiem on the StopGame.Ru portal.
Flowers are scattered throughout Provence; you will find about 4 of them during the first half of the game. However, the last flower can only be obtained after you reach the final chapters. Once you have collected all 5 flowers in A Plague Tale: Requiem, you will unlock the Herbalist achievement. The guide is as free of plot and other spoilers as possible.
As we mentioned earlier, the first 4 flowers can be found in the first five chapters of the game. To get the last one, you need to play through the rest of the game and reach the sixteenth chapter of A Plague Tale: Requiem. Of the five flowers, the syngonium and carnation are almost impossible to miss, as they will be pointed out by Luca, Amicia’s partner. But to get the other three, you will have to look closely at your surroundings, especially the anemone.
Syngonium (Flower No. 1)
Stuck underground in Chapter 2, Amicia and Luca use logic to escape the dark chambers. You’ll need to solve a few puzzles and deal with a few rats before the heroes reach the surface.
Once you return to the city and see the tower, Luca will point to a small flowerbed. After that, an exclamation mark will appear, pointing towards a flower. The first flower is almost impossible not to notice, as Luca will talk about it and will even stand in close proximity to the flower. As Amicia, approach the flower and pick it so that the girl will braid the flower in her hair. We continue the guide to all the flowers in A Plague Tale: Requiem on the StopGame.Ru portal.
Chamomile (Flower #2)
The second flower in A Plague Tale: Requiem appears under questionable circumstances. During the chapter “Burden of Blood”, you will find yourself in a stressful situation. And there is a high probability that you may miss the daisy.
To make sure you find the second flower, be careful and look around in the herbalist’s garden. After passing through a narrow gap in the wall, you will find yourself in a gloomy garden. Here, Luca and Amicia are trying to find nightshade, and you are asked to examine all the purple flowers.
In the center of the garden is a large tree with a ladder leaning against it. Examine the upper branches of this tree to spot a hanging basket. Equip a slingshot and shoot a regular rock at the fastener holding this basket. When it falls down, get closer and take the daisy.
Gentian (Flower #3)
The third flower can be found during the chapter “Duty of the Protector”. This is the fourth chapter of the game. Without going into plot details and trying to keep them to a minimum, I will say that Amicia and Luca will be tasked with finding the Order’s Boat at the docks.
Once you reach the shore, you will be able to see several abandoned ships and boats. Walk along the shoreline until you reach the docks on the left side. Ignore the boat and look at the plants on the right side. You should find a bouquet of purple flowers. Head towards it and interact with it to get a gentian. We continue the guide to all the flowers in A Plague Tale: Requiem on the StopGame.Ru portal.
Anemone (Flower #4)
The fourth flower can be obtained during the fifth chapter. The anemone flower is definitely the hardest to get. If you don’t like exploring and interacting with the environment, you might want to skip this flower.
In this chapter, Amicia will need to find a way back to the boat. As you progress through the area, you will come across a secret chest, after which you will find yourself on a bridge under construction. Head to the far left of the bridge. Find the chain that is holding the plank and use Amicia’s sling to destroy it. Once the chain is broken, the plank will fall down like a bridge. Under the bridge, look for a cart that can be pushed to a raised platform. Once the cart is in place, climb on it and reach the bridge you just opened.
Continue walking along the bridge until you reach a cliff. Climb it and you will find yourself on a cliff with some plants on the edge. Pick up an anemone flower, among other things.
Carnation (Flower #5)
The first four flowers you could find in the first five chapters of A Plague Tale: Requiem. However, the fifth one will only be available at the very end of the game, during the sixteenth chapter called “King Hugo”. Like the first flower, the carnation is not easy to spot. I will refrain from adding any details regarding the setting of this chapter, since such information may spoil your playthrough. We continue the guide to all the flowers in A Plague Tale: Requiem on the StopGame.Ru portal.
With that said, Amicia will be exploring the area with her companions in the early sections of Chapter 16. At some point, Luca will point to a flower again and kneel next to it. You can head to this location immediately and pick up the Carnation, the final flower in A Plague Tale: Requiem.
