8 tricks to increase the probability of variocolor in Pokémon Sword

Now that many of you have already managed to complete the Pokémon Sword and Shield Pokédex, you may be trying to get multi – colored versions of the Pokémon, also known as shiny. If this is your case, here we bring you a list of updated tricks to increase the probability that they appear.

As you know, varicolored Pokémon are really epic and there is not much chance that they will come out when we find a wild Pokémon . However, these tricks will help us when it comes to getting them.

We leave them below:

  1. There is no combo or chain systemof Pokémon as such in Pokémon Sword and Shield: instead, the probability of a Pokémon appearing Shiny depends on the number of times we have fought it. This is the probability table:
    • Pokémon fought from 0 to 49 times: 1/4096 of it being Shiny
    • Pokémon fought 50 to 99 times: 1/2048 of it being Shiny
    • Pokémon battled 100 to 199 times: 1/1365.33 of it being Shiny
    • Pokémon fought 200 to 299 times: 1/1024 of it being Shiny
    • Pokémon fought 300 to 500 times: 1 / 819.20 of it being Shiny
    • Pokémon fought more than 500 times: 1 / 682.66 of it being Shiny
  2. If we get the Iris Amulet, these probabilities increase. To obtain the Iris Amulet we must complete Galar’s Pokédex (that is, capture all 400 creatures, although we will not need the Dynamax or Gigamax variants). Once this is done we must go to Ciudad Auriga and go to the hotel on the left (in the square), and use the elevator. When we are on the top floor, we must go to the room that is further to the left (the last one). There, we can talk to a nurse (who is the character that represents the director of the game) and he will give us the Iris Amulet if we have fulfilled this requirement (in case we have not yet achieved it, he will give us the Capture Amulet, which increases the chance of achieving a critical catch when equipped). Once we have the Iris Amulet, the odds are like this:
    • Pokémon fought from 0 to 49 times: 1/1365.33 of it being Shiny
    • Pokémon fought 50 to 99 times: 1/1024 of it being Shiny
    • Pokémon fought 100 to 199 times: 1 / 819.20 of it being Shiny
    • Pokémon fought 200 to 299 times: 1 / 682.66 of it being Shiny
    • Pokémon fought 300 to 500 times: 1/585,14 of it being Shiny
    • Pokémon fought more than 500 times: 1/512 of it being Shiny
  3. What does “Pokémon Battled” mean? This includes the following:
    • Fight against a Pokémon that has a trainer and weaken it
    • Fight a wild Pokémon and weaken it
    • Encounter a wild Pokémon and capture it
  4. You can see how many timesyou have fought a specific Pokémon in the list of that Pokémon in the Pokédex
  5. Encountering a Pokémon and hitting Rundoes not count as a Pokémon fought
  6. You don’t need to fight a Chain Pokémon. For example, if you are trying to catch a Shiny Ponyta de Galar and you come across a Polteageist, you do not lose the number of times you have fought Ponyta de Galar
  7. The more Pokémon of the same species you fight, the more likely it is that that Pokémon will appear again, something that helps increase the number of times you have fought it
  8. The aural Pokémon(those that have a yellow halo around them on the game map), usually have a higher level, special movements, two guaranteed perfect IVs, they give us Watts after defeating them, the more aural Pokémon of the same species we fight, the more likely there are more Aural Pokémon of the same species appear and are not related to Shiny Pokémon.
