7 simple choices you can make to create a better everyday life

Life can be a lot – a dizzyingly fantastic experience, but also a constant struggle and an endless nightmare-like existence. There are always factors that we can not foresee or influence, but in general, life becomes exactly what we make it ourselves – it’s that simple, in fact. It’s about what choices you make. Here are a bunch of tips on how to choose to get the best out of life.

1. Let go of the past
To dwell on old failures, broken relationships and regret things that you have done, said or not done is unprofitable. Realize that we never change what once was. Let go of the past and feel how you literally get rid of a stone around your neck. It is simply not possible to enjoy the present and feel hope for the future if you allow yourself to live on in old memories and constantly relive things that happened several years ago.

2. Do not take everything so personally
People have never been so easily offended as they are today. In principle, it no longer takes anything for people to feel supported, pointed out and upset. Despite the fact that everyone seems so extremely busy, there still always seems to be time to navel-gazing everything that is published, seems and is said. Everything must be analyzed and evaluated, compared and assessed down to the smallest detail. Stop it. And do not take everything that is said personally.
Think like Clint Eastwood in the Dirty Harry movie “Sudden Impact”: “Opinions are like assholes. It is something everyone has and everyone thinks that others stink ”.

3. Sort more – and get tougher
Make it a regular habit to clean out stuff you do not need – and to sort among people who are just negative and complain and put you in a bad mood. Get rid of the whining nails and everything that just collects dust. Talk less and listen more.
It is a simple but super effective tip for living a simpler, freer and calmer life.

4. Appreciate what you have
There is always something to be grateful for if you just give yourself time to stop and think a little – do it more often. Focus more on everything you have – jobs, friends, family, children ¬– instead of everything you lack and that you think you need to have to be happy.

5. Stop worrying about the future
It is human to worry about what might happen and to try to anticipate things. But it does not pay to plan everything – and it is not possible to prepare for things you know nothing about. Life seldom cares about our plans. If you constantly expect that the worst that can happen will also happen, then you only make life unnecessarily complicated. Therefore, it is wiser to live more in the present and take advantage of all the opportunities that exist right now.

6. You do it yourself
It is never wrong to have friends who support and encourage, but many make themselves dependent on people around them. Our waiting to just “hear what they think” and seeking their approval and confirmation is really just an excuse not to deal with things that feel difficult and difficult. There may be a void within you, but other people cannot fill it. It is also not their responsibility to “make you whole”, so stop waiting for it. In addition, we can never invite other people to share our lives until we are one with ourselves and dare to stand up for our own individual.

7. Open yourself to new things
It is not possible to live a meaningful life if we do not dare to take risks, challenge our prejudices and try new things. There is only one way out if you want to develop as an individual – get out of your comfort zone and try new things at regular intervals.
