5 smart tips to stop putting sticks in the wheel for yourself

Few things are as frustrating as when our new, positive routines suddenly go awry. The training, the new job, the relationship and your own development seem to be rolling on so well – and suddenly it’s just as if someone pressed a button and everything seems to go straight to hell instead.
This is a phenomenon that we all experience from time to time – and the strange thing is that it is often we ourselves who sabotage ourselves. To stop it:

1. Change your purpose
Examine yourself. Have you been stuck for doing the right thing, but for the wrong reasons? Do you do anything more because you want to satisfy other people’s demands and expectations of you than for your own sake? What is your real driving force? Has it changed since you started the one you do now? Do you just follow a routine without reflecting on what you are actually doing and why?

2. Take responsibility
The easiest way out when you encounter a patrol is to blame yourself – on external circumstances and on other people. And that can of course have an effect, but basically you have to take responsibility for your part in the whole thing. It is only your own choices and actions (or lack thereof) that determine how it should end.

3. Change your goal
Have you gaped over more than you can swallow? Have you set too big a goal and are beginning to realize that you do not really have what it takes to reach the end? Think again and think right. Redefine your goal and review what is required for you to be able to create new conditions for success. Changing one’s goals does not mean failure, on the contrary – it indicates courage and self-awareness.

4. Put aside your feelings of guilt
Have you got stuck because you think you do not deserve it to go so well for you? Are you just waiting to be exposed as a scam? It is a not entirely unusual phenomenon that limits us unnecessarily. Think of all you have sacrificed to get this far. Your successes so far are proof of your determination, hard work and self-sacrifice.

5. Nobb negative influences
There are always people around us who love to revel in failures. Their jealousy triggers your inner self-saboteur, so be on your guard. Be sure to clean up your mess and only hang out with supportive, positive and creative people who appreciate your efforts as much as you do.
