5 Mistakes That Turn Tea Into Poison

A very healthy and aromatic drink that many of us are used to drinking after meals can be harmful to health if you make these common mistakes.

To make the perfect tea, follow a simple rule: one teaspoon of tea leaves for each cup, and one more on top. Too strong tea will have an excess of caffeine (which can cause excessive nervous system stimulation) and tannins (which can disrupt bowel function and cause constipation), and such a drink is also a strong diuretic. So don’t overdo it with the strength!

2. Steeping tea for too long

…and especially drinking yesterday’s tea: tea that has been standing for too long not only loses most of its useful substances, but also actively multiplies pathogenic microorganisms that can cause serious harm to our health. So don’t be stingy and pour out the tea if it has been standing for more than a few hours!

3. Do not let the tea cool down.

Constantly drinking very hot drinks that irritate the mucous membranes of the throat, esophagus and stomach is harmful. Regular burns can lead to the formation of scar tissue, which is more susceptible to infections. This can provoke the formation of malignant tumors.

4. Drink tea on an empty stomach…

It is ideal to drink this aromatic drink half an hour after a meal: it stimulates the digestion process and even helps speed up the metabolism. If you drink it on an empty stomach, you will lose your appetite: tea leaf extract suppresses hunger. And skipping breakfast is very harmful!

5. …or immediately after eating

You shouldn’t drink tea right after a meal either: some substances contained in the healthy drink can impair the absorption of protein, iron and other important elements. Take a break, wait half an hour – and enjoy the aromatic drink!
