Best PEC apps
Before choosing a PEC app you will have to take into account some factors, which are: compatibility with your PEC provider, intuitive user interface, efficient customer support , security and regulatory compliance in the context of certified email and advanced features , such as synchronization with other apps and services.
Many of the apps mentioned below require registration or activation of a PEC account with a PEC service provider. So make sure you have an active PEC account before using these apps to access your certified email box.
Aruba PEC (Android, iOS)
There is no doubt that businesses and individuals rely on Aruba as an affordable solution. This provider also allows you to use the official app called Aruba PEC , with which you can connect both the same Aruba and Gmail accounts . Just configure the IMAP and the SMTP to access directly from the Google service. For more information, read our guide on how to activate PEC Aruba .
Once you have downloaded the application from the Play Store or from the App Store you can quickly access your certified mail without necessarily remembering the parameters, the application configures itself automatically immediately after you enter the e-mail address and password chosen by you or provided by Aruba at the time of subscribing to the service.
Aruba PEC is useful for both sending and receiving certified e-mail, with which you can also activate notifications of messages received. However, below you will find the parameters to enter to configure it on your phone.

To download Gmail you will have to start the Play Store or the App Store and once you are logged into your Google account , you can set up a new one with certified mail. As for Aruba, you will need to enter IMAP and SMTP , i.e. the data that your provider has provided you to access the service.
To add a PEC account on Gmail , you must start the Google mail app on your phone, touch thethree horizontal dashes , at the top left and press in the menu that appears on Settings . Then tap on Add account > Other and enter your email address and PEC access data. For more info read our guide on how to sync Gmail .
PEC Poste Italiane – Postecert

Don’t forget to enter the values 993 for the incoming IMAP server port and 465 for the outgoing SMTP port. From this application, downloadable on Android and iOS , you can also configure your Gmail accounts , avoiding installing more software on your smartphone. Specifically, within the configuration information you will need to enter the mbox.cert.legalmail.it server with server port 993 or 995 in the IMAP incoming mail . In the SMTP outgoing mail section instead, you will need to enter the sendm.cert.legalmail.it server and, as the outgoing port, 465 or 25 .

You have surely heard of the provider Register, a platform that also offers an agile PEC service with 2 GB of storage space to be used for your documents. While this provider allows you to sign up for certified email, you can only access it via a web browser.
Therefore, there is no real application for the PEC Register , you will have to turn to a third-party software to access the messages received and sent. Our advice is to associate your PEC Register with the Gmail application, so you can view messages directly on your smartphone. However, in recent months there have been limitations on profiles, in fact, you may only have access to standard mail and not certified mail, check by entering the configuration data. For incoming mail the server name is imap.pec-email.com with port 993 and for outgoing mail you will need to enter smtp.pec-email.com with port 465 .

As with Aruba, TIM has also focused on quick access without having to enter any configuration parameters, you just need to install the software and add the email and password with which you signed the PEC contract.
If you don’t like the TIM App aesthetically , you can always opt for Gmail and configure the Google software to view the mail received from the TIM service. The manual configuration in Gmail is characterized by an incoming mail server identifiable in imap.tim.it with port 143 and an outgoing server smtp.tim.it with port 587 . In this case, however, we advise you to use the TIM application, there are several very useful functions and they guarantee you top-level IT protection.
