3 apps that will optimize your routine

If you are a technology lover like me, this text will help you a lot. Here I will list 5 essential applications for you to use in your day-to-day, along with some tips for you to improve your performance. The idea is to use it to optimize your study routine, but they are so good that they can help in any area of your life.

I emphasize here that some applications are just suggestions, there are several types with the same proposals. So, choose the one you feel most comfortable and please the most.

1- Task Planner

It is important when starting your day that you have a list of your activities. Without it, you can get distracted by less important activities, as well as missing important deadlines. When listing your activities, start with the places you have to go, for example:

  • college
  • gym
  • Dentist
  • English course

That way, you have a sense of how many free hours you will be willing to fill in with other activities, since in the others you will be busy with the mandatory activities. After the seats, add important tasks that must be solved on the day, such as paying a bill, buying a certain medication, taking a photocopy. Finally, add tasks that must be solved within 3-7 days, such as studying a specific topic for the exam, delivering an internship report, setting up a seminar. If you still have time available in your routine, add more items with a longer deadline.

2- Have an Agenda

“Ah, but it’s the same as the previous one.”

No, it’s not. However, the reason is similar. In the previous tip you organize your day, but it is almost impossible to organize your day if you don’t have your activities, appointments and events defined. Write everything down, whether on a paper or digital calendar. I prefer the digital one, because it allows me to access it at any time and thus answer questions, in case I need to.

This is the time for you to be boring and write down everything, everything. Since college exams, reminders that exams are coming, tutoring, academy, courses, college classes, mostly. If you are in the habit of writing the topics of classes on the agenda, and not just the subject, your performance will be even better. Here is an example:

  • Renal Hemodynamics Class

Rather than:

  • Renal Class

By specifying the themes, you will not be that lost student who arrives and does not even know the theme of the lesson, you can filter the important points of that subject right at the beginning of the lesson. In addition, it will help you keep your studies up to date.

If you prefer, use different colors, as it helps a lot in visualization. Try not to make more than 2 big appointments on the day, as this will give you free time for other activities you want to do. Another example:

  • 02/14: college, internship and dinner with friends
  • 02/15: college, academy

Choose:

  • 02/14: college, internship
  • 02/15: college, gym and dinner with friends

Internship is a tiring activity, just like college and that take up most of your day. Unlike a gym that is faster and can even be relaxing. Your dinner with friends will be better spent the other day, when you will be more willing and with a better interval between activities.

3- Social Network Blocking Applications

I touched the wound, right? Well, part of it. If you are thinking that your day is low and you can’t do anything it is because you haven’t paid attention to the amount of time you spend on social networks. They are too important, but they must be used wisely.

If your problem is addiction or little focus, we are often distracted by notifications, the solution is to block them.

As well? Will I delete / block my accounts?

Nothing like that! You will download an application that blocks other applications of your choice and for a time determined by you. For example, I need to study today’s class, which was Renal Hemodynamics and I will need 40 minutes for that. You will select which apps get in the way of notification, from email, messages and social media for a period of 40 minutes.

Those were today’s tips. Liked? They are very useful and I am sure they will help a lot if you can put them into practice.
