15 amazing tips to let go of everything that feels difficult

You can hope as much as possible that life will roll on without failures, disappointments, sorrows and periods when most things feel heavy and meaningless – but it does not change anything. Life is as it is. What we can do is try to find a solution ourselves on how we handle the difficult moments because they can never be completely avoided.
For example:

1. Learn something new
Learning something new not only dispels thoughts, it can also mean new discoveries, new encounters and new opportunities to change your life for the better.

2. Change your perspective
How can you see adversity as an opportunity to change and improve your situation? Maybe it’s time to break out of a meaningless relationship? Change workplace? Change career? Move? Take a step back and look at your situation from a different perspective.

3. Cry
Yes, do it. Cry out everything you carry within you. It frees the body from toxins that the body accumulates when you are stressed, anxious and frustrated.

4. Remind yourself of all the good you have accomplished
It is not enough to try to remember all the old successes. They become much clearer and stronger if you write them down on a list and bring them out when you feel out of place.

5. Focus right
You do this by focusing on everything that you yourself can actually influence instead of wasting energy on things that you can not control.

6. Give your emotions a chance to come out
You can do this by, for example, painting, singing, drawing, sculpting, carpentry or learning to play an instrument.

7. Get really angry, sad and bitter – for a while
Allow yourself to explode with anger, cry with frustration and self-pity and feel totally useless – for a quarter of an hour. It can be incredibly self-cleansing to cave oneself into misery for a while and then it’s over.

8. Take more responsibility
This means that you should focus less on what other people have done to make you angry and more on why you react the way you do. Remember that you can never change others, only yourself.

9. Realize that there are only three options:
If you want to get rid of a difficult situation, there are only three ways to go: Make sure to get away.
Change your life so you do not end up in similar future situations.
Accept the mode.

10. Get to a conclusion
It is not always easy, but if there is a practical possibility – do it. Forgive someone who has hurt you. Say what you always wanted to say to someone and so on. You know best what you are brooding on that weighs you down. Get rid of that luggage.

11. Write a letter to yourself
Here you can pour out everything you think – it is incredibly therapeutic to formulate your anger, your remorse, your bad conscience and everything else that creates anxiety in your life. Since no one else will read the letter, you can write exactly what you feel and not censor yourself.

12. Remember that a coin always has two sides
Not everything is not only good or bad. Life changes all the time. Good times replace bad ones – and vice versa. Remind yourself that, after all, there is a balance between all the good and all the bad we encounter.

13. Reward yourself
Do it every time you have accepted that you have shortcomings or less good qualities and learned to live with them.

14. Give your inner critic a silly voice
The evil voice in your head that always reminds you that you fail and is never good enough gets significantly less power if you imagine your inner self criticizing you with a silly voice – why not let the voice sound like the frog Kermit? Would you take your self-criticism as seriously then?

15. Replace Negative Thoughts With Positive Thoughts
This is difficult and requires practice, but it works. Every time you think something negative about yourself or about your existence, stop the flow of thoughts and redirect your thoughts to think of something positive instead.
