If you ask a man, “Would you like a bigger penis?”, The answer is probably yes.
I don’t think there’s a guy in the world who didn’t want his sex organ to be an inch or two longer.
However, after more than a century of attempts – doubtful – to enlarge the penis, a definitive solution has not yet been found.
Sure, there are many options out there that promise almost miraculous solutions, but do they work?
In today’s text, we are going to talk a little bit about these techniques and if the penis really increases in size.
We will cover the following topics:
- Is there a normal penis size ?;
- Does penis increase in size ?;
- Problems that can occur;
- How partners see penis size;
- Products and techniques that promise to enlarge the penis;
- Some things that can really help;
- The great truth.
Is there a normal penis size?
There are bodies of all shapes and sizes.
It is important to understand that a guy’s penis size is determined by the genetic characteristics he inherits from his parents – just as we inherit our height, eye color and skin tone.
The fear that the penis may appear small to satisfy the partner during sex is common and ends up affecting the self-confidence of a large part of the male population.
But studies have shown that most men who think their penis is too small actually have a normal-sized penis.
The global average of the size of the male sexual organ is 14 cm, but if a penis measures between 12 and 16 it is considered within the average.
In Brazil, the average is 15.7 cm.
Does penis increase in size?
Advertisements for penis enlargement products and procedures are everywhere.
A multitude of pumps, pills, weights, exercises and surgeries; and each of them claims to have the solution to the problem.
You have to be careful. Many companies offer non-surgical treatments for penis enlargement and often promote them with “serious” ads that include endorsement by “renowned researchers”.
However, if you pay attention, you will see that the safety and efficacy information for the products has not been proven.
In addition, some professionals use testimonials, distorted data and questionable before and after photos.
Problems that can occur
Most of the techniques you see in the ads are ineffective, and some can even damage your penis.
There is no certainty that the penis will increase if they are used.
It is not uncommon for men to arrive at a doctor’s office with fractures, inflammation and serious damage to the sexual organ.
They tried one of the magic solutions to increase penis size and it obviously didn’t work.
In addition to not being able to enlarge the sexual organ, they also had serious injuries.
How partners see penis size
Advertisers want men to believe that partners care deeply about penis size.
If a man is worried, the ideal is to talk to the partner.
It must be borne in mind that understanding the other’s needs and desires is more effective in improving a sexual relationship than enlarging the penis.
Products and techniques that promise to enlarge the penis
The Jelqing technique consists of exercises to try to naturally increase the size of the penis.
This technique allows to increase the circulation of blood to the sexual organ, lengthening the body of the penis and increasing its capacity to receive blood.
Upon receiving more blood, the sexual organ would become larger and thicker.
However, there are not enough medical studies to prove that jelqing can actually increase penis size.
Despite being an apparently safe practice, it can lead to pain, irritation or scar tissue formation, if done too often or aggressively.
2. Pills, potions and lotions
There is a huge variety of pills, vitamins, hormones, herbal preparations and lotions marketed for penis enlargement.
However, there is no evidence that these products work.
Some of them can even be harmful to your health and can interfere or react with other medications.
It is always recommended to talk to your doctor before testing a new supplement or natural remedy. It can help to understand the possible benefits and risks.
3. Penile extenders
A penile extender is a device with two metal rods and a plastic ring that subjects the penis to continuous traction.
They are usually found on the Internet and in sex shops.
Although very popular, there is no research to prove that these devices are safe and effective.
They can be bothersome and uncomfortable to use and there is still a risk of bruising, nerve damage and blood clots in the veins of the penis.
4. Penis pump
Vacuum pumps or penile pumps are used to treat erectile dysfunction.
However, some people use them believing that they can enlarge the penis.
Using a penis pump can temporarily make a sexual organ appear larger, but overuse can cause tissue damage and lead to problems with erections.
Another controversial technique is to hang weights on a flaccid penis to stretch it a little.
The problem is that it requires an exaggerated degree of dedication and the man may have to use a weight tied to his penis eight hours a day for six months.
And the penis is not guaranteed to increase in size! In the end, he may be lucky enough to gain about half an inch.
Weight risks include rupture of the tissue, explosion of blood vessels and other problems.
A doctor may recommend penile surgery to correct a defect or treat an injury.
However, some surgeons offer this surgery for penis enlargement.
The most commonly used surgical procedure to lengthen the penis involves the rupture of the upper ligament that attaches the penis to the pubic bone and the movement of the skin from the abdomen to the penis.
When this ligament is cut, the penis looks longer because it literally pops out, as the surgery exposes a piece of it that was normally hidden in the pelvis. However, cutting the suspensory ligament can cause an erect penis to become unstable.
Penile augmentation surgery is considered by many doctors to be controversial and by others to be unnecessary and dangerous. There is a risk of infection, scarring and loss of sexual organ function.
After all, the surgery does not bring a very spectacular result, since it can add only about ½ inch, or 1 centimeter to the total length of the penis.
Another technique used is to remove fat from a fleshy part of the body and inject it into the shaft of the penis.
But beware: this technique does not enlarge the penis, it only makes it thicker.
The results can be disappointing because part of the injected fat can be reabsorbed by the body. This can lead to penile curvature or asymmetry and an uneven-looking penis.
Another technique to increase the width is to graft the tissue on the shaft of the penis. None of these procedures have proven to be safe or effective and may even affect your potency and your ability to get an erection.
They are suitable for men who think their penis is too thin.
8. Pubic liposuction
Liposuction aims to unveil the penis that is covered by excess fat and partially covers it.
Removing this fat deposit will lead to greater exposure of the base of the penis, giving the sensation of an increase in its size.
Still, the effects are not permanent – if the patient does not change his eating habits, the penis will sink back into the belly.
Some things that can really help
Although there is no safe and effective way to enlarge the penis, there are some things a man can do if he is concerned about the size of the sexual organ.
9. Communication with the partner
It can be difficult to break old habits or discuss sexual preferences with your partner.
However, it is a necessary evil and the couple may be surprised by the spark it will ignite in their sex life.
10. Get in shape
If a man is overweight, the penis may appear shorter than it is.
Regular exercise can make a big difference.
Better physical conditioning can not only make someone look better, but it can also improve strength and endurance during sex and the man will have the impression that his penis increases in size, as he will no longer be hidden by fat.
11. Talk to a doctor or a counselor
Feeling unhappy with the size of your penis is common.
A psychologist, psychiatrist or family doctor can help, taking any doubts.
Many men feel better with the assurance that they are “normal” or with advice on how to best satisfy their partner without resorting to aesthetic penis enlargement.
The great truth
Many men believe that if the penis enlarges, they will be better at sex or become more attractive, but the chances that the sexual organ is within the normal size range are very large.
Even if your penis is smaller than average , it will not matter if the couple really like each other and if they are both satisfied with intercourse.
So consider: a search for a bigger penis could leave a man with an irregular, bruised, sore and dysfunctional member.
Does risking the body for the hope of an extra half inch make sense?
Size doesn’t really matter when a man is committed and creative.
The way you use your brain, your hands, your mouth and everything is what counts in the bedroom.
