10 Minecraft Secrets You May Not Know About

In Minecraft can be played in different ways – and this is good: someone who likes to hang on the game mode, turning it into a crazy simulator than anything else, and someone uses only standard modes. Regardless of which category you belong to, there are a few tips below that may come in handy.

Breaking blocks with a torch

When it comes to sand or gravel, the process of destroying these blocks can seem tedious, in order to make it easier for yourself, just destroy the bottom block of the vertical row and quickly substitute a torch in its place. The top blocks of sand or gravel falling down will be destroyed automatically. Almost any object can be used instead of a torch: flowers, mushrooms or a fence, a torch is just an example.

Two types of matter: water and lava behave the most cunning, these are liquids that spread in different directions and can only be kept inside blocks. Not certainly in that way. Narrow pressure panels (or wood markers) can work wonders. If you arrange them in the same way as you would place ordinary blocks on the four sides, and pour water in the middle, then you will get a transparent blue cube that looks like an aquarium and does not creep along the sides. The same can be done with lava. And by building up pointers on top of each other, the aquarium can be made several stories high.

To keep your building intact and safe, any means and traps will do, and slowing down the enemy is just what you need. It is easy to achieve this effect: it is enough to dig a trench two blocks deep, then put ice as the first layer, and shower sand on top. Such a simple combination will slow down the intruder as well as possible. And if you add the same ceiling to this, the enemy will never get out of there.

Cobweb trap

But to slow down the enemy does not mean to kill him, especially as dangerous as a creeper. One single individual of this green monster is capable of sending you to the next world. To prevent this from happening, it is enough to stretch the web in the dug out ditch. When the creeper hits it, it gets stuck there. But that’s not all, even if at this time you approach him and he explodes, then only a small part of your health will be taken away, and not all hearts.

Water, or rather its solid state, ice, can produce amazing acceleration effects. If you set up an aquarium on a foundation of ice and then put the fish in there, they will swim much faster than in regular water. But this property can be used not only to arrange fish races. By stretching a bridge between two rocks and paving it with ice, as well as creating a roof two blocks from the floor, you can move with amazing speed by constantly pressing the jump button.

Underwater breathing

As you know, there is no diving suit in Minecraft, but there are secrets that allow you to breathe underwater temporarily or permanently. The first and easiest one is to set up a torch. Sounds strange? It is, but it works. The main thing is that there is one more block above the place where you place the torch, then, albeit for a short time, you can breathe, replenishing the oxygen supply. The second way is an empty bucket, it will only help once. Having dived under the water with it, at a depth you can only scoop it up once in order to regain your breath. And the third – the most reliable – is to install the door. Opening it, you will find yourself in a cavity where there will always be air.

Portal to the underworld

A portal to hell or the nether world is built from obsidian – a material very rare in the game, it is not always possible to get it, especially in survival mode. But even without these precious blocks, the portal can still be built. You just need to have a source of water and lava. If you fill a cavity filled with lava with water, you will get obsidian. It remains only at the place where you want to create a portal, build a structure from earth or any other solid material, where you could mix these two liquid substances, and then destroy it, after the portal is ready.

Giant tree

There is never a lot of wood, it is always useful on the farm. But how to make it so that it becomes even more? It is enough to have four seedlings of jungk trees and some bone meal. You place four seedlings in a square, so that each is in contact with each, fertilize with bone meal and a tall tree grows, along which you can also climb, clinging to the vines, and you will get a lot of wood from it.

Walking through the wall

You always need to have a way to escape, and if it is secret, then even better. What do I need to do? Lay the rails, place a minecar on them, and build one or more one-block-thick walls along the way. Now, while in the minecart, you can safely drive through these walls, fooling the puzzled enemies. The only condition for this is the tilt of the rail at the stumbling block.

Diamonds in lava

Diamond ore often hides under lava flows and it can be difficult to get to it, so as not to bury it under pieces of obsidian. The easiest way to find out for sure if there are diamonds under the lava deposit is to put a block of ice in the right place, if any, they will be visible through its transparent surface and you will know exactly where to dig.
