Arovit is a vitamin supplement that has as active substance vitamin A. The dose of arovit should always be indicated by a doctor, however, in most cases it is recommended.

Arovit drops

  • Children younger than 1 year or less than 8 kg : the recommended dose for the treatment of vitamin A deficiency symptoms is 1 to 2 drops, about 5,000 to 10,000 IU per day. For the treatment of nocturnal blindness, the recommended dose is 20 drops, 100,000 IU, on the 1st day of treatment, repeating the dose after 24 hours and after 4 weeks.
  • Children older than 1 year : the recommended dose for the treatment of vitamin A deficiency symptoms is 1 to 3 drops, 5,000 to 15,000 IU per day. For the treatment of nocturnal blindness, the recommended dose is 40 drops, 200,000 IU, on the 1st day of treatment, repeating the dose after 24 hours and after 4 weeks.
  • Older children : The recommended dose for the treatment of vitamin A deficiency symptoms is 10 to 20 drops, 50,000 to 100,000 IU per day. For the treatment of nocturnal blindness, the recommended dose is 40 drops, 200,000 IU, on the 1st day of treatment, repeating the dose after 24 hours and after 4 weeks.
  • Adults : The recommended dose for the treatment of vitamin A deficiency symptoms is 6 to 10 drops, 30,000 to 50,000 IU per day. For the treatment of nocturnal blindness, the recommended dose is 40 drops, 200,000 IU, on the 1st day of treatment, repeating the dose after 24 hours and after 4 weeks.
  • Women in the age of rep roduction : should only be used according to medical advice, but usually the dose recommended for the treatment of night blindness, is 2 drops 10,000 IU per day for two weeks or according to medical indication.

Arovit Side Effects;What Evils Can It Cause Me?

Some of the side effects of Arovit may include headache, tiredness, dizziness, vomiting, increased pressure inside the skull, lack of disposition, excitement, sleep disorders, lack of appetite, nausea, nosebleeds, lips and mouth, hair loss, menstrual disorders or pain in the bones and joints.

Whenever any of these effects occur it is advised to inform the doctor to evaluate the need to adjust the dose or terminate the use of the medicine.

Contraindications;When Should I Not Use It?

This medicine should not be used by women who are pregnant or who may become pregnant during treatment. In addition, it should also be avoided in cases of excessive vitamin A or hypersensitivity to vitamin A.
